Saturday 29th November

 

WBA v Arsenal (kick off 12:45)

James Morrison is sick and could miss out for West Brom in the early kick off against Arsenal. Sebastien Pocognoli is carrying a hamstring strain but will probably be passed fit. However, definitely missing for the Baggies this weekend are the suspended Claudio Yacob and Jonas Olsson (Achilles).

As usual, Arsenal have a lengthy injury list to contend with. Danny Welbeck has a swollen knee and a hamstring strain. Mikel Arteta is a definite absentee with a calf problem, as is Jack Wilshere, Theo Walcott, Mesut Ozil, Mathieu Debuchy, David Ospina, Abou Diaby, Wojciech Szczesny and Yaya Sanogo. Olivier Giroud could be handed a start, and Laurent Koscielny comes back into the match day squad too.

 

 

Burnley v Aston Villa (kick off 15:00)

Minor knocks kept Nathaniel Chalobah and Scott Arfield out of the squad recently but the pair are back in the Burnley squad for the visit of Aston Villa. Michael Duff is carrying a calf problem and may miss out while definitely watching from the stands will be Matt Taylor (Achilles) and Sam Vokes (knee).

Aston Villa are again without Ron Vlaar, Philippe Senderos and Nathan Baker at the back. Expect Ciaran Clark and Jores Okore to fill in. Christian Benteke will serve the final match of his suspension while Fabian Delph is still out with a dislocated shoulder.

 

 

Liverpool v Stoke (kick off 15:00)

Liverpool are expected to make several changes as they look to get back to winning ways. Mario Balotelli is still out so Rickie Lambert will continue up front as he seeks to score for the third game on the trot. Dejan Lovren will replace Kolo Toure in defence while Steven Gerrard may be switched to a defensive midfield role at the expense of Lucas Leiva.

A virus has done the rounds at Stoke this week but affected trio Asmir Begovic, Geoff Cameron and Phil Bardsley should all be available for selection on Saturday afternoon. Erik Peters and Marc Wilson missed out last weekend with knocks and both come back into the fray this weekend. Victor Moses is out for a couple of months with a thigh injury and will remain at home with the likes of Robert Huth (calf), Peter Odemwingie (knee) and Dionatan Teixeira (broken foot).

 

Manchester United v Hull (kick off 15:00)

Radamel Falcao and Marcos Rojo are poised to make their returns to the Manchester United matchday squad. Both were mentioned by Louis van Gaal as being back in training. However, on the long-term casualty list are Luke Shaw (ankle) and Daley Blind (knee).

Hull will face Manchester United without Abel Hernandez, who has returned to Uruguay with his wife for the birth of their child. Gaston Ramirez is banned but no other major injury concerns were raised by Steve Bruce.

 

 

QPR v Leicester (kick off 15:00)

QPR are without the suspended Richard Dunne so expect Rio Ferdinand to deputise. The former Manchester United defender is coming back after a ban of his own, while he also nursed a groin problem. Eduardo Vargas is back in the squad after missing out last weekend to attend the birth of his child while definitely missing out this week will be  Adel Taarabt (groin), Sandro and Alejandro Faurlin (both knee).

Leicester travel to Loftus Road with virtually a fully fit squad to choose from. The only injury concerns are Dean Hammond (calf) and Matt Upson (foot) – both are not expected to feature.

 

 

Swansea v Crystal Palace (kick off 15:00)

Federico Fernandez again misses out for Swansea. He’s struggling with a calf injury but is the Swans only major absentee. Wayne Routledge is back in the squad following a groin strain while Jonjo Shelvey and Tom Carroll will battle it out for a midfield berth.

Crystal Palace travel without injured duo Damien Delaney and Adrian Mariappa. Delaney is carrying a calf injury while Mariappa has hurt his knee.

 

 

West Ham v Newcastle (kick off 15:00)

West Ham must face Newcastle without the suspended Winston Reid but Stewart Downing and Cheikhou Kouyate are both back training after recent knee injuries. Andy Carroll is poised to start because Diafra Sakho is doubtful with a back injury. Alex Song, Mark Noble and Enner Valencia will all face fitness tests on minor knocks.

Newcastle will delay naming their starting XI until as late as possible with boss Alan Pardew waiting on the fitness on several key squad members. Amongst those carrying knocks are Fabricio Coloccini (calf), Steven Taylor (knee), Cheick Tiote (calf), Rolando Aarons (hamstring), Tim Krul (minor knock), and Mehdi Abeid (toe).

 

Sunderland v Chelsea (kick off 17:30)

Ricky Alvarez is poised to make his first Sunderland start since September. He’d been out for six weeks with a knee injury but is ready and available for selection. Also back in the fray is Sebastien Coates following a calf strain but definitely out are Emanuele Giaccherini (ankle), Billy Jones (hamstring) and Patrick van Aanholt (shoulder).

Chelsea are almost at full strength ahead of their trip to the north east of England. A few changes are expected as boss Jose Mourinho may rotate his squad ahead of a busy period.Nathan Ake (hamstring) is Chelsea’s only confirmed absentee.

 

Sunday 30th November

 

Southampton v Manchester City (kick off 13:30)

Southampton midfielder Steven Davis will face a fitness test on Sunday morning on a tight hamstring. Definitely not making the matchday squad will be injured trio James Ward-Prowse (foot), Sam Gallagher (knee) and Jay Rodrigues (anterior cruciate ligament).

Manchester City midfielders Yaya Toure and Fernandinho are back in the squad after being suspended midweek. However, ruled out through injury are David Silva, Edin Dzecko and Aleksandar Kolarov.

 

 

 

Tottenham v Everton (kick off 16:00)

Spurs have a lengthy casualty list. Kyle Walker is a long-term absentee, and he’s joined on the sidelines by Emmanuel Adebayor, Younes Kaboul, Etienne Capoue, Andros Townsend, Nacer Chadli and Danny Rose. Kyle Naughton is suspended.

Everton have several players on the casualty list ahead of the clash with Spurs. Definitely missing the game will be Darron Gibson, John Stones, Antolin Alcaraz and Bryan Oviedo. James McCarthy is carrying a hamstring strain but he may still be passed fit to feature, while Steven Naismith, Leighton Baines, Gareth Barry and Steven Pienaar will all face the physio prior to kick off on Sunday.
