Queens Park Rangers v Huddersfield Town Betting Tips – EFL Championship, 10th August 15.00pm
Queens Park Rangers go up against Huddersfield Town at Loftus Road on Saturday afternoon. Rangers kicked off their EFL Championship campaign with an impressive away win at Stoke City, but can they make it six points out of six at the weekend? The Terriers, meanwhile, will be hoping to hit back after a disappointing home loss to Derby County last Monday night. This is a tough one to call, with both teams fancying their chances in the English capital.

Queens Park Rangers News and Form – Can Rangers build on excellent start?
Queens Park Rangers surprised many by beating Stoke City at the bet365 Stadium last weekend. It was Mark Warburton’s first game in charge, and debutant Jordan Hugill gave Rangers a deserved lead after just eight minutes. Eberechi Eze doubled their advantage before Sam Clucas pulled one back for the Potters late on.
Rangers made a woeful start to their Championship campaign last year, losing their opening four matches before beating Wigan Athletic 1-0. QPR ended up finishing in 19th place, picking up 51 points along the way. Can the Hoops surprise a few by breaking into the play-off places this season?
Warburton has made some shrewd signings since taking over at Loftus Road, with a number of players moving to the club, including Yoann Barbet, Jordan Hugill, Todd Kane and Marc Pugh. Meanwhile, Alex Baptiste, Jake Bidwell, Luke Freeman and Joel Lynch – plus several others – have moved on.
QPR were excellent at Stoke last Saturday, and the London outfit will be desperate to follow that up with a win in front of their home supporters this weekend.
Queens Park Rangers v Huddersfield Town Head to Head
Huddersfield beat QPR home and away in the 2016-17 Championship, with both games ending in 2-1 scorelines
QPR have won just one of their last four against Town (two losses, one draw)
Both sides have scored in five of the last six meetings
The last goalless draw was way back in 1949
- QPR kicked their season off with an away win
- Huddersfield secured only one away victory last term
- The Hoops lost 11 times at Loftus Road in last season’s Championship
Huddersfield Town News and Form – Can Siewert’s side strike back?
Huddersfield Town had a season to forget in the Premier League last time around, finishing rock bottom with only 16 points to their name. The Terriers picked up just three league wins, losing a staggering 28 games along the way.
Jan Siewert’s side will be gunning for promotion and an instant return to the Premier League at the end of this season, but the club started life back in the Championship with a disappointing 2-1 home loss to Derby County on Monday. Tom Lawrence was the Rams’ hero, netting twice before Karlan Grant slotted home a penalty.
Since gaining promotion to the Premier League back in 2017, Huddersfield have claimed a mere eight league wins at the John Smith’s Stadium. Away from home, Town won just one of their 19 away fixtures last term, losing 14 of the other 18.
This is a big game for Huddersfield, as another defeat will just pile more misery on the club. Can the Hoops hit back with three points at Loftus Road at the weekend?
Queens Park Rangers v Huddersfield Town Tips & Odds
Draw 12/5
Draw and both teams to score at 10/3

Queens Park Rangers v Huddersfield Town Predictions
Draw: Saturday’s intriguing fixture at Loftus Road is a tough one to call. QPR will back themselves on home soil, but the Terriers will be desperate to bounce back after Monday’s result. However, I can see the pair cancelling each other out in west London. Back the draw at 9/4. Both sides usually find the net in this fixture, so have a punt on the draw and both teams to score at the nice price of 10/3.
