Rest of Europe Tips & Odds – 11th November 2018
The action heats up again across Europe this weekend and one of the real highlights of the continental action is going to be Borussia Dortmund v Bayern Munich from the Bundesliga. Check out our full coverage of that.
Here we take a look around at some of the other top games going down on Sunday, November 11th from across Europe for our predictions and acca tips. Remember this is the final action before the next international break.
Monaco v PSG – 8.00 pm
What an earth-shattering mess Monaco are in at the moment. They were hammered by Club Brugge in the Champions League in midweek and they are stuck on just one league win this season in the French top flight. That win came back in August as well. Monaco are ten games without a win now in the league against after a loss out at Reims last weekend and new boss Thierry Henry has a minefield ahead of him. They take on PSG this weekend, who are the current league leaders with a perfect record of 12 wins from 12. They are scoring for fun as well with 41 goals in their 12 games so far and Kylian Mbappe and Neymar are becoming formidable. This could get ugly.
There is just no way that Monaco can be backed in this one. They are a shambles, the new boss doesn’t seem to know what to do and PSG are mighty. We may as well back PSG to win to nil at 5/4 odds* (betting odds taken on November 8th, 2018 at 9:15 pm)
Milan v Juventus – 7.30 pm
Juventus were rocked in midweek as they blew a lead in Turin to lose against Manchester United in the Champions League. Back in league action this weekend they face up to an AC Milan side who have started to come into form. Juve are undefeated still in this season’s Serie A with a W10 D1 record and it’s not often you’re going to see them crumble, especially at home. AC Milan are on a three-match winning streak, but all of those were against sides currently in the bottom half of the table. The Milanese have lost out at both Inter and Napoli already, two of the three sides currently above them in the table. They could put up a fight but it still hard to oppose the might and power of Juve. We are going to stick with a success for Juventus as they usually come through.
Given Milan’s away record at top sides this season though, Juventus to win to nil by a one-goal margin fits nicely at 13/5 odds* (betting odds taken on November 8th, 2018 at 9:15 pm).
Barcelona v Real Betis 3:15 pm
Barcelona have strung together a three-match winning streak now in the Spanish top flight and that is even with them conceding goals. They edged out at 3-2 win at Rayo Vallecano last weekend which puts them on 31 goals in 11 league games this season. That’s some scoring power and probably enough to get the better of Real Betis at the Nou Camp on Sunday. Betis are down in 14th heading into the weekend and they are on a four-match winless streak of form. They snapped a three-match losing streak with a draw against Celta Vigo last weekend. Still, they have scored only five goals in their last six games, three of those were in that draw last weekend. Betis are the lowest-scoring side in the league at the moment.
Barcelona to win to nil is worth a flutter this weekend at 6/5 odds* (betting odds taken on November 8th, 2018 at 9:15 pm) even though they have been conceding goals.
Celta Vigo v Real Madrid – 7.45 pm
After a resounding Champions League win over Viktoria Plzen in midweek, what next for Real Madrid as they take on La Liga action out on the road at Celta Vigo on the weekend? Madrid are seven points adrift of league leaders Barcelona and with a W1 D1 L4 record in their last six league games. That win did come last weekend though as they beat Valladolid 2-0 at the Bernabeu. Fortunately for Real Madrid, Celta Vigo are out of shape with only one win in their last eight league games, although that win was on home soil against Eibar in their last home match. They have scored seven goals in their last two games which is something. They are W2 D3 L1 at home so not an easy opponent for Madrid to handle and they have two home draws in their last three against Real. Celta Vigo don’t actually have bad home form this season and they beat Atletico Madrid there 2-0 earlier this season.
The outright draw is quite appealing but instead, the even-money odds on a Celta Vigo +1 Asian Handicap could be the right fit* (betting odds taken on November 8th, 2018 at 9:15 pm).
