Swansea City v Nottingham Forest Predictions & Betting Odds – 14th September 2019

Another three points for the rampant Swans

Swansea City v Nottingham Forest Betting Tips – EFL Championship, 14th September 15.00pm

Swansea City and Nottingham Forest square off in an EFL Championship fixture at the Liberty Stadium this Saturday afternoon. The Swans have made a stunning start to their Championship campaign, dropping just two points from six matches. Forest, meanwhile, have been in good form under new manager Sabri Lamouchi, unbeaten in all competitions since the opening weekend. This should be an entertaining encounter in South Wales.

Swansea City News and Form – League leaders to strike again?

Not many people tipped Swansea City for success after Graham Potter left the Liberty to take over at Premier League Brighton & Hove Albion in the summer. Potter was replaced by Steve Cooper, who was previously in the youth setups at Liverpool and England.

The Welshman was somewhat an unknown entity when he arrived in Swansea, but the 39-year-old has hit the ground running. Swansea sit proud at the top of the Championship table, winning five and drawing one of six. Meanwhile, they have also beaten Northampton Town and Cambridge United in the Carabao Cup.

In the clash at the top before the international break, Swansea secured a precious three points at Elland Road. As expected, it was a tough game against Marcelo Bielsa’s well-drilled Leeds United, but Wayne Routledge’s last-gasp goal gave the Welsh club a 1-0 victory in Yorkshire.

Swansea are in incredible form at the Liberty Stadium at the moment. Since losing 1-0 to Aston Villa on Boxing Day, the Swans have won 14 of their following 19 on home soil in all competitions. Manchester City remain the only team to have won at the Liberty during that time.

Swansea will be searching for yet another home league win, and the bookies have them priced at 10/11 to add another three points to their impressive tally this weekend.

Nottingham Forest News and Form – Can the Reds spoil the Swans’ party in South Wales?

Nottingham Forest are also in fine fettle. Since new boss Sabri Lamouchi arrived, the club have lost just one of eight league and cup matches. The Reds kicked off with a 2-1 home loss to Slaven Bilic’s West Bromwich Albion, but they have won two and drawn three of their following five in the league. Forest also secured EFL Cup wins over Fleetwood Town and Derby County.

After beating Fulham 2-1 at Craven Cottage, Nottingham Forest signed off for the international break with a 1-1 home draw with Preston North End. Ahead of Saturday’s trip to the leaders, The Reds sit tenth on nine points.

Lamouchi’s men have claimed some good results on the road so far. They have drawn with Leeds United and Charlton Athletic (both 1-1) and beaten Fulham 2-1 at Craven Cottage. All three of those sides currently occupy a place in the top six, which could be a good omen for the Reds this weekend.

Getting anything from their trip to South Wales will be a tough task for Nottingham Forest. However, the Reds have played well against the bigger sides, and they will fancy their chances of taking home a positive result.

Swansea City v Nottingham Forest Predictions

Swansea City win: As I touched on, the Swans have been remarkably strong at the Liberty Stadium in 2019. Steve Cooper has settled into Championship management like a duck to water, and the Welsh outfit should pick up another three points on their own patch this weekend. Check out the very tempting price of 2/1 for the hosts to be winning at half time and full time.

Swansea are the highest scorers in the division with an impressive 12 goals to their name. At the other end, Cooper’s troops have only shipped four times. I fancy the Swans to win to nil on Saturday at 12/5.
