The busy Easter weekend kicks off on Friday night with a full card from the Championship, so that is where we are at for today’s football betting tips.

We have five selections to look at in football betting today as we gear up for a non-stop weekend of quality football.

Most teams have a short turnaround before playing against Monday, so how will team line ups be managed?

What look at some of the top outright picks for football betting tips today.

Best Football Betting Tips Today: Bournemouth v Middlesbrough

First for today’s football betting tips we look at Bournemouth v Middlesbrough with both sitting outside of the top six.

Bournemouth have three points to make up on sixth-placed Reading heading back into action.

The Cherries claimed a great home win just before the international break, beating Swansea 3-0.

That moved them on to a W11 D3 L5 home record this season.

They are W3 L2 in their last five at the Vitality but have taken a clean sheet in 47% of home games.

Coming back recharged, they are 21/20 in the match outright.

Boro need the win in this one to make up some ground on Bournemouth, as they have played a game more than the Cherries.

Middlesbrough have lost their last two away games in the Championship, leaving them at W6 D5 L8 this season on their travels.

They earned a point against the cherries at home earlier this season and are 13/5 to win this fixture.

With them averaging just the goal per away game and having failed to score in three of five away games played against currently above them, we think Boro fall short.

Bournemouth to win at 21/20

Football Betting Picks Today: Derby v Luton

We are looking at an away selection for today’s best football betting tips.

Derby are 21/20 to claim the three points from this home game against Luton.

But the Rams were struggling badly for form just before the break, failing to win any of their last seven games (D3 L4).

Derby have failed to score in six of their last seven league games and only have a W5 D6 L8 record at Pride Park.

So that could give Luton a big chance in this one and the Hatters are 11/4

From their eight games played against teams currently beneath them in the table, Luton are W5 D2 L1.

They have six clean sheets from those games as well so they could well have a reasonable shout at shutting out the goal-shy Rams.

Luton claimed a 2-1 home win over Derby earlier this season as well.

Luton to win at 11/1

Football Betting Tips for Today: Cardiff v Notts Forest

Cardiff are four points outside of the playoffs as they return to action with a game against Notts Forest.

The Bluebirds did earn a very good away win against Cardiff in their final match before the break.

There has been only one defeat for Cardiff since a loss against QPR back on January 20th.

Their home record is W3 D2 L1 in their last six. Cardiff are 21/20 for the home success on Friday night.

Of the seven home wins that they have earned in this campaign, six have been by at least a two goals margin.

Bet at Boylesports

Will they have enough to get past Forest on Friday night?

There does appear to be a good chance that they will, as the visitors arrive without a league win in six (D3 L3).

In that run of games, Nottingham Forest failed to score in half.

It’s been just five away wins all campaign for Forest and none in their last three and there is justifiable 14/5 underdog odds on them.

They have not won away against any team currently in the top half of the table (D3 L7).

Cardiff to win at 21/20

Online Betting Football Tip: Millwall v Rotherham

Millwall will expect to take maximum points from their home game against Wycombe on Friday night.

The Lions are 11/10 to get the job done as they lost the bottom side.

There has been hit and miss form by Millwall, who have alternated between a loss and a win in their last six games.

Two of those three wins in that sequence were at the Den, however.

Millwall have only lost one of their last eight home games in the Championship, so look a solid proposition for today’s football betting tips

Rotherham are in the relegation zone but do have a fighting chance of getting safe.

The Millers have won two of their last three league fixtures and have at least three games on the teams immediately above them.

They start again on Friday night, three points from safety, so there is a lot to play for.

It has been back to back away wins for them, successes at Sheffield Wednesday and Bristol City.

But still, they have lost seven of eight away games against teams currently in the top half of the table where Millwall are.

Millwall to win at 11/10

Online Betting Football Tip: Wycombe v Blackburn

In the final look at football tips today, we are going to be leaning towards an away win.

Blackburn are 5/6 to get maximum points from their visit to Wycombe.

Rovers have won only one of their last six league games, drawing their last two.

It’s not really been anything spectacular from them, but they are the top-scoring team outside of the current top eight.

Blackburn took an excellent point away at league leaders Norwich in their final game before the recent intentional break.

Bottom side Wycombe are 10/3 underdogs for the game.

The Chairboys have lost five of their last seven games (W1 D1) and they have failed to score in five of their last seven as well.

Blackburn to win at 5/6
