Today’s football betting tips are focusing on a mix of the international football that is around at night.

The most important stuff is the European Championship qualifiers where the play off finals are happening.

Northern Ireland and Scotland are both in action there as they try and lock down a place at next year’s Finals.

Away from the stresses of competitive action, there are more international football friendly fixtures coming up on Thursday.

We will look at some of those for our football betting tips today as well.

Best Football Betting Tips Today: Northern Ireland v Slovakia

Here it is then, the big chance for Northern Ireland to make it through to the European Championship finals.

With home soil advantage, Northern Ireland are 7/4 to collect the win on Thursday night to get through.

In the play off semi finals they were up against Bosnia-Herzegovina. It was a penalty shoot out victory that the Irish took after a 1-1 away draw.

While Northern Ireland have not been in winning touch this year, neither have their opponents.

It is a five match winless streak of form from Northern Ireland (D2 L3).

During that run Northern Ireland have scored just three goals as well.

Under 1.5 goals is at 11/8 with bookmaker Bet365.

Northern Ireland are D1 L2 from their three previous games against Slovakia.

Slovakia are 9/5 underdogs for this game as they have failed to win any their last five (D2 L3).

They too needed a penalty shoot out win to get through their qualification semi final. They got the better of Ireland in that.

Given the huge pressure of the situation this is going to be a drawn out night we feel.

Football Betting Picks Today: Serbia v Scotland

There is a big opportunity for Scotland here, despite them being the 4/1udnerdogs for this European Championships qualification final match with bookmaker bet365.

Scotland are in a good streak of form, having gone W4 D2 in their last six games.

It has been back to back wins for them collecting 1-0 wins over Slovakia and the Czech Republic in Nations League action.

In their qualification semi final Scotland won a home penalty shootout against Israel to progress through to this match.

That was after a 0-0 draw.

As for Serbia, they got a 2-1 away win against Norway to get through. That result came after extra time.

Serbia are actually without a win in any of their last six games (90 minutes) now, drawing four of those.

The two nations met in the 2014 World Cup qualification stage and Scotland lost 2-0 on a trip to Serbia.

That was after a 0-0 home draw.

Again this is likely to be a really tight game. It is a huge occasion. Serbia are the 13/20 favourites to pick up the win.

But we think at the moment it’s worth backing the Scots to find a way through as they look pretty confident.

Scotland To Qualify at 9/4

Football Betting Tips for Today: Hungary v Iceland

We think that this is one of the more straightforward Euro 2020 qualification finals that are being played on Thursday night.

We have a home win pegged at 11/8 with bet365 for Hungary in this fixture.

The Hungarians are in a decent bit of form, unbeaten in their last three competitive fixtures (W2 D1).

That was a run of three straight away games in which they built that undefeated run, culminating in a 0-0 draw with Russia.

Hungary and Iceland last met at Euro 2016 and played out a 1-1 group stage draw.

Hungary have won their last two home games against Iceland, scoring seven goals in total.

Iceland have lost four of their last five games (W1). The one success in that sequence of poor form was in their qualification semi final against Romania.

They caused a home upset there with a 2-1 success on the night. It is hard to get a total read on Iceland as Belgium have been the cause of two of their last four defeats.

Iceland are 2/1 to get the win on the board on Thursday with bookmaker bet365.

We believe that the visitors will still come up short on the night, but will give a decent account of themselves.

Hungary to win at 11/8

Online Betting Football Tip: England v Ireland

One of the top international friendly matches for Thursday night is this clash between England and Ireland.

The last three meetings between the nations in England have all ended in a 1-1 draw.

Each of the last five games between England and Ireland (competitive and friendly) have all ended in a draw.

So there’s a decent trend going there. But The Three Lions are 1/3 odds-on to pick up a victory in this fixture.

Gareth Southgate will certainly be looking for a response from his team having tamely lost at home to Denmark in the Nations League last time out.

Ireland are just D4 L2 in their last six games.

During that run they lost a penalty shootout away at Slovakia in the Euro 2020 play off semi finals.

The Irish are having clear problems in front of goal at the moment as they have not hit the back in any of their last four games.

They are heading to England as the 17/2 underdogs as they search for an upturn in form.

Online Betting Football Tip: Wales vs USA

There is more home nation action on Thursday night with Wales playing host to the USA.

The Welsh are 6/5 with bet365 to pick up a home success in this one and they are in decent enough form to do so.

They are W4 D1 L1 in their last six games and with Gareth Bale now back in the UK, probably more settled, they look value to take this win.

The last game the Welsh played was away in Bulgaria for the Nations League and they came back with an excellent 1-0 success from that fixture.

Wales have also won their last two home games with a clean sheet in tow as well.

The USA did have a recent international friendly as they look to get back into the swing of things.

That game ended in a 1-0 win over Costa Rica and it was the first game for the USA since September last year.

They are not likely to be too big for a threat from a 12/5 quote that Bet365 have on them.

It’s the home win for Wales.

Wales to win to nil at 13/5
