Today’s football betting tips features some mouth-watering action from the Champions League quarter-finals.

Both Manchester City and Liverpool are looking to make a good first impression against Borussia Dortmund and Real Madrid respectively.

As well as the European action for football betting today, we are visiting some league action from England.

Best Football Betting Tips Today: Manchester City v Dortmund

With the Premier League title in sight, Manchester City turn their attention to the Champions League on Tuesday.

They have home soil advantage for the first leg of this quarter-final tie against Borussia Dortmund.

The Citizens are 1/3 odds-on to claim the home win on Tuesday.

Manchester City saw off German opposition in the previous round, getting past Borussia Monchengladbach.

In their one previous home fixture against Dortmund, Man City played out a 1-1 draw.

It is a five-match winning streak in all competitions that Pep Guardiola’s men are currently on.

They have put together a near-flawless Champions League campaign this season, posting a W7 D1 record.

In that sequence, City have taken seven clean sheets.

Borussia Dortmund rolls into northwest England as the 7/1 match outright underdogs.

Their form has been patchy, only going W2 D2 L2 in their last six played in all competitions.

In the Champions League this season Dortmund are W5 D2 L1, and on the road that is W3 L1.

The German outfit have won only three of their last 12 knockout stage matches in UEFA competition.

Dortmund have also lost four of their last five games against English opposition and 8 of their last 13 in England.

The home side could be a bit of a banker for any accas or multiples on the night.

Man City to win at 1/3

Football Betting Picks Today: Real Madrid v Liverpool

These two European giants are set for a huge clash on Tuesday night at the Bernabeu.

The hosts are missing Sergio Ramos which is a huge loss for them and it usually means an exit is beckoning.

In the round of sixteen, they saw off Italian side Atalanta to qualify for the quarter-finals.

This is the first quarter-final for Real Madrid since 2017/18, the season they went on to beat Liverpool in the final.

The home record of Real Madrid against English opposition is W8 D5 L3.

They had been on a three-match winning streak in such fixtures before Man City beat them last season.

The home win is at 13/8 for Real Madrid on Tuesday.

Liverpool have made a tame defence of their Premier League table, to say the least, but they have won their last three games in all competitions now.

That started with a 2-0 victory at Anfield over RB Leipzig in the last round.

They will want to leave Spain on Tuesday with plenty to play for back at Anfield.

The win for Liverpool is at 8/5.

Liv9erpool have claimed only two wins in their last 12 fixtures against Spanish opposition (D2 L8).

But they have suffered a loss in just one of their last seven away games in the Champions League (W5 D1).

The Reds are winless on the road against Spanish opposition in six, and this is no easy game with them still looking to find top gear.

Real Madrid to win at 13/8

Football Betting Tips for Today: Brentford v Birmingham

We are going to the Championship next for today’s football betting tips.

Brentford are 11/20 home favourites for this fixture as they push towards promotion.

The Bees are unbeaten in five, but they have now drawn three on the spin and need to get a bit of winning momentum back.

Brentford are third in the table, but are now ten points out of second place, but with two games in hand.

So it looks like a big task, but there is still a top-six place to try and lockdown.

Brentford have a superb W10 D6 L2 record at Griffin Park this season and they have dropped just two points in their three there.

The goals have dried up just a little bit for them recently. But they are averaging just under two goals per home fixture.

Birmingham took a surprise 1-0 win over Brentford earlier this season.

The Blues have some pressure on them, as they are only five points outside of the drop zone.

Rotherham, who are right behind them have three games in hand still over Birmingham.

Birmingham are 11/2 for the away win. Their away form does not support that outcome though.

The Blues are W1 D1 L4 in their last six fixtures away from home

Brentford to win at 11/20

Online Betting Football Tip: Carlisle v Scunthorpe

We are off to League Two next where there are slightly more appealing odds on a couple of home pics.

Carlisle are 17/20 for three points on home turf on Tuesday.

They are mid-table and six points outside of the playoffs. But this a game in hand that they have over those above them.

So three points could boost their outside chances of the playoffs.

Carlisle have taken a W11 D2 L6 record at home, winning their last one played against Crawley.

From their five games played against teams currently 19th or lower, Carlise area W4D1 at home this season.

Scunthorpe are 18th so right on the threshold of that.

The Iron are 3/1 underdogs for the fixture as they have taken one win in their last seven league games (D5 L1).

But they have been resilient within all of that and are unbeaten in three on the road.

The big issue for them has been a lack of away goals, averaging under a goal per away game.

That could leave them just short.

Carlise to win at 17/20

Online Betting Football Tip: Morecambe v Southend

The final fixture for football betting for today is Morecambe v Southend from League Two.

Morecambe lost on the weekend against Cambridge.

But with three wins in their last four home fixtures (L1) they look as if they could be alright in this.

It has been an overall W10 D4 L4 home record for them this season. Each of those home defeats were against teams currently in the top seven.

Tuesday night’s opponents Southend are a long way from that.

Southend are in the relegation zone and six points from safety.

So they could really use maximum points from this game in hand to keep a glimmer of light burning.

They did win at mid-table Harrogate on the weekend and three of their four away wins of the season have happened in their last seven away games.

It’s a three-match undefeated streak on the road from them.

So they have found a little bit of form, but they average just 0.6 goals per game this season (home and away) and it’s hard to trust that.

Morecambe to win at 17/20
