Today’s horse racing tip continues on Friday with some more of the week’s top action from Doncaster.

The highlight of the day is the Doncaster Cup Stakes (Group 2) in which the great Stradivarius lines up.

We dive into that one first for today’s racing betting and have five other selections for the day alongside that.

We start off with the first horse racing tip of the day and unsurprisingly that is STRADIVARIUS at 10/11* (betting odds recorded 22:24 GMT on 9th September 2021 at William Hill).

The master is back in business with two wins from three runs in this campaign. The 7-year-old has been the most dominant of stayers in the last few years.

Granted 2021 hasn’t been great for him by his standards. He lost the Gold Cup at Royal Ascot this season but rediscovered his winning touch last time out.

Three weeks ago Stradivarius landed the Lonsdale Cup by a head, just holding off the big challenger Spanish Mission. He won this race a couple of years ago and should be right there.

How long have we waited to see TRUESHAN take on Stradivarius? Finally, it is happeningand Alan King’s five year old should have a big run in him.

He’s had a slightly longer rest than Stradivarius which should help.

Trueshan has been away since winning the Goodwood Cup in some muddy conditions in July. There could be a bit of rain around on Friday playing to his favour.

The step-up in trip should offer RODRIGO DIAZ a good chance of getting in the frame for the places.

He was the second last time out in the Geoffrey Freer, not disgraced at all there. Rodrigo Diaz looks to have plenty more in him.

Today’s Horse Racing Tip

ARMOR sets the standard for this juvenile contest at a quote of 6/4* (betting odds recorded 22:24 GMT on 9th September 2021 at William Hill).

On his penultimate run, he claimed an eye-catching success in the Molecomb. On his follow up, Armor took a fourth place finish in the Morny, things not quite falling his way.

But that was a Group 1 effort in France for Armor and with excuses for that result, brings huge claims on his return to the UK.

This is a much easier contest for him and the return to the 5f trip is going to put him right in the frame.

ATTAGIRL claimed a win in a similar race at York on her latest run, three weeks ago. That’s two wins in five runs for her.

She has looked her best at this minimum trip so far. With that success over CATURRA last time out in a big field, Attagirl rates as a threat.

CATURRA does also warrant a look. He had been under a penalty for his latest run at York.

He was beaten by Attagirl there but wasn’t disgraced on that return to a 5f trip.

Today’s Horse Racing Tip

STATE OF BLISS rates as an interesting one for this Chester contest.

There was a victory for him three weeks ago in the Shergar Cup handicap at Ascot. He hasn’t been able to follow that up since.

State Of Bliss was last seen at Ascot just six days ago, taking a fifth of ten. This is an easier assignment for him, however.

GABRIAL THE ONE usually performs at Chester and he comes down in distance. He failed to last the 2m on his last trip.

The same can be said of BURIRAM who was at two and a half miles at Goodwood on his latest, which was never in his range.

But of them, former course and distance winner Gabrial The One just takes preference at 7/2* (betting odds recorded 22:24 GMT on 9th September 2021 at William Hill).

There are some exciting young talents in this race. We are going for 17/2 shot ELDRICKJONES* (betting odds recorded 22:24 GMT on 9th September 2021 at William Hill).

He was fifth in the Gimcrack and has posted some decent efforts in Group company. He is still a maiden but back at a 7f trip he should get close to breaking that.

HOO YA MAL looked good in getting off the mark at the second time of asking. That was three weeks ago, posting a good time in a big field.

So he is definitely one for the shortlist as well in this contest. The other will have to be RIBHI who looks as if he could be something special.

He won on his debut in a minor event at Salisbury a month ago.

He delivered a devastatingly powerful finish there at 6f. So he probably has this trip in him and could have big things ahead of him.

Today’s Horse Racing Tip

REVICH is the 11/4 horse racing tip for the day in this contest* (betting odds recorded 22:24 GMT on 9th September 2021 at William Hill).

He comes down in class after a good solid effort at Class 2 last time out. That was on a longer trip as well.

Revich does deal with top-weight for this Chester run on Friday, but he is a two-time course and distance winner.

He is back at the same mark as he was when he claimed a third-place finish on his latest visit to the venue anyway.

Another course and distance winner is worth a look at PAWS FOR THOUGHT. It’s been two wins for him at this venue.

He hasn’t won in four efforts since his reappearance success but put in a credible effort at Ripon 39 days ago at 6f.

THE KODI KID goes for a new yard here. He picked up a score for Andrew Balding on his last effort, two months ago.

That’s a testing break to shrug off, but isn’t without a chance in this one at all, based on the form for that victory.

Today’s Horse Racing Tip

This is just wide open and we are pulling for SPANISH STAR at 11/2* (betting odds recorded 22:24 GMT on 9th September 2021 at William Hill).

There has been nice, consistent form from him lately. He arrived at Sandown on the back of a win at Newbury with a bit to spare four weeks ago.

Spanish Star has more to deal with now having come up 5lb, but this isn’t the toughest of races ahead of him.

FOX CHAMPION, a former Group 2 winner, has been nowhere near that level for a long time.

For his new yard, he has taken three successive place finishes. He should be in the mix as this is not as strong of a race as his latest effort at York was.

AL RUFAA should be better for having had a reappearance run at Goodwood a couple of weeks ago. He scored a handicap hat trick last summer.

That latest run at Goodwood came after a break of 11 months, so Al Rufaa is entitled to be a lot sharper at Sandown on Friday.
