MASEKELA has to be the way to go in this one at a quote of 11/8* (betting odds recorded 19:26 GMT on August 13th 2021 at William Hill).

He picked up a win on his debut which was at Goodwood. He followed that up with a good fifth at Royal Ascot before going close at Newmarket.

The latest run from Masekela was at Group 2, and he has continued to improve. Taking the slight drop in class, Andrew Balding’s colt should take the beating.

SEATTLE KING won his debut on the flat. That was at Salisbury on a 7f trip in June, claiming a comfortable success. He could bring some more to the table on Saturday.

BAYSIDE BOY got off the mark at the first time of asking, which was notably at course and distance.

On the back of that, in which he overcome inexperience, he warrants respect for place claims.

The even-money favourite in racing odds HUKUM warrants plenty of respect in this contest* (betting odds recorded 19:26 GMT on August 13th 2021 at William Hill).

He has won two of his last three, the most recent of those was in a Group 3 at York just over a month ago.

Also this season, Hukum put together a notable bit of form to take a close third-place finish the Hardwicke. That was in a very strong renewal of that race.

Hukum also won this race last year and winning jockey Jim Crowley is back in the saddle. There’s no one in the field that can match his class and form. He’s the clear one to beat.

GOLDEN PASS rates as a threat, after claiming a Newmarket Listed win. She may have further improvement to come still after stepping up in trip last time out.

She’s in great heart at the moment with a victory in all but two of her last six runs. Golden Pass definitely brings place claims.

The other that we are going twitch for horse racing betting for place claims is RODRIGO DIAZ. He steps up in class but has been progressing well this season.

He comes back into action in winning form. That was after scoring at Ascot three weeks ago in the International Handicap. It was another good step forward in form from him.

Danyah looks ready to make a big impact now at the Group level, so we fully expect him to be in the thick of this.

AL SUHAIL is interesting on a drop in trip. He has been mixing it with stronger companies this year, including a Group 1 in Meydan in March in which he was third.

The latest run for Al Suhail was a third at Ascot 5 weeks ago in the Summer Mile and heads into the weekend action as a big threat.

This year’s winner of the Nell Gwyn at Newmarket, SACRED warrants some respect in a challenge for the places.

She failed to produce enough staying quality to get in the mix in the 1000 Guineas at Newmarket. Following a break and a drop in trip, she rates as a threat.

She has won two of her four runs since reappearance. That includes a score on her latest for Andrew Balding at Kempton 12 days ago.

Goolwa has been handed a 4lb rise and the extra trip that is on offer looks to be a good move from connections.

MIDRARR comes up in grade so this may be a stiffer work out for her. She has been carrying good all-weather form and is seeking a hattrick under penalty.

The latest of her wins was just four days ago after bolting up at Wolverhampton. The only question is the quick turnaround. Will this come too soon?

As for a shot at the place, we are going to go towards EILEENDOVER who is yet to get off the mark.

This will be her handicap debut and there have been three decent enough efforts in defeat for her on the flat so far.

This handicap is wide open. We are looking at a chance on PREMIER POWER who has been absent for 178 days.

Premier Power didn’t get things together that well on the all-weather earlier this year, but he has been gelded during this break.

There is enough in his 3-year-old form to suggest that he could have some kind of impact on his return.

He’s an unexposed handicapping sprinter but he has been acquitted himself very well this season. He opened the campaign with a score at Kempton.

ISLAND NATION should rate a threat on Saturday in this handicap after winning over course and distance on his reappearance.

That was 18 days ago and the victory was delivered in a very good fashion. He should improve further for that contest and therefore is likely to be in the frame.

Our selection is going to be MRS HYDE at 8/1* (betting odds recorded 19:26 GMT on August 13th 2021 at William Hill).

She has been enjoying herself for this yard, and a couple of her four wins for them have been in Listed company.

She was in the Summer Hurdle at Market Rasen on her reappearance a month ago. That didn’t pan out and returned 3lb lower, giving her a big chance.

INGLEBY HOLLOW is of interest as well as he switches back to the jumps. He has gone well on the flat in his last two.

Back in July he came on strong at the finish to give himself a chance in the Summer Hurdle and was a little unlucky not to get the score there.
