Today’s Horse Racing Tip

This is the top action for the day on Saturday and we are happy to take a chance on 9/2 shot MUTASAABEQ* (betting odds recorded 17:21 GMT on 27th August 2021 at William Hill).

He picked up a win at Haydock on his latest run, a nice return to form after getting things wrong in the Jersey at Royal Ascot. That’s two wins from four this season.

This is likely to demand more from Mutasaabeq but he looks to retain the kind of ability that could see him thrive at this level.

BENBATL returns after a long absence. There is easily enough in his previous form to expect him to be right in the thick of things.

But he hasn’t run since a third place in September last year at Newmarket (Group 2).

Benbatl has a history of running well fresh though and if he is right on his game on return, there should be strong claims from him.

CHINDIT is a bit of a frustrating one for punters. Misfires at the highest level have raised questions about him.

But there have been credible efforts nonetheless and posted a reasonable fifth at Deauville on his last run, which was two weeks ago. The slightly calmer waters here should help his chances.

Today’s Horse Racing Tip

A small field for a big race. We are pulling towards the 9/4 shot BANGKOK as our horse racing tip* (betting odds recorded 17:21 GMT on 27th August 2021 at William Hill).

Even though it’s a small field, it is wide open. With a decent strike rate in small fields, Bangkok’s current form is the pick of the bunch as well.

There was a Group 2 success for Bangkok last time out as he delivered in the York Stakes just over a month ago. He dug in well to get that.

SOLID STONE does rate a danger as he gets the cheekpieces on for the first time. Coming back up in trip as well, he could push on from a fourth in the Sovereign Stakes a couple of weeks ago.

HARROVIAN took a solid second place at Doncaster on his latest run and isn’t to be discounted.

FANCY MAN completes the competitive field with good recent form as well. He was second in the Rose Of Lancaster Stakes three weeks ago.

Just a month ago he picked up a win at the Goodwood Festival in a handicap. Nagano looks well suited to the extra trip that is in play on the weekend.

It has been three wins in his last four runs and Roger Varian’s colt is going to take all the beating in this one.

DANCING KING is interesting for Mark Johnston who has won the last two editions of this with Sir Ron Priestley and Subjectivist.

It has been a fantastic season for Dancing King who secured a four-timer earlier this season and hasn’t come off the boil in defeats since.

The other with some place claims will be CLASSIC LORD.

More is going to be asked of him in this one, but there has been handicapping progress made including a win at Sandown last month.

Today’s Horse Racing Tip

DAKOTA GOLD takes preference at a quote of 5/1 as a horse racing tip* (betting odds recorded 17:21 GMT on 27th August 2021 at William Hill).

He picked up the race win last year and has been lightly worked this year. Dakota Gold appeared in the Nunthorpe at York last weekend.

Things didn’t pan out for him there. But this is an easier contest for him and we expect a big effort. He’s good enough to deliver at this level.

2019 winner JUDICIAL opposes and looks a threat as well. This is another of the top sprinters around at the moment.

After a slow start to the season, everything came together for Judicial on his latest to score at 6f in the Queensferry Stakes at Chester. He returns after a short break and will challenge.

The final shortlist selection for the contest is SHOW YOURSELF. This is a much tougher assignment for her, but she completed a C&D hat trick last month.

It was just dominant show after dominant show from Show Yourself to get that. She may need a couple to falter in terms of the win, however, place claims are reasonable.

This looks like being a good wide-open contest. Our first selection is the 11/1 shot ADAAY TO REMEMBER* (betting odds recorded 17:21 GMT on 27th August 2021 at William Hill).

Connections are not losing anything by throwing her into this contest. There has been sharp form in all four efforts.

Adaay To Remember earned a handicap debut win a month ago at Course and Distance and had plenty in the tank.

TABDEED should rate a threat after taking a third at the Hackwood Stakes 42 days ago. This is an easier assignment fully putting in the picture.

ROYAL SCIMITAR has looked promising this season, even though he is unexposed at this trip. There was an excellent third place at Royal Ascot from him three weeks ago.

A course and distance fourth in July, in a rich race, could be a key piece of form as well.

Today’s Horse Racing Tip

DESERT ENCOUNTER is likely to be heavily involved in this one and is our tip at 3/1* (betting odds recorded 17:21 GMT on 27th August 2021 at William Hill).

He was last seen at Newmarket a couple of months ago in a Listed race. That was beyond him, but the extra trip here looks set to suit.

Desert Encounter is a former course and distance winner and is reliable in this sort of fixture. DOMINO DARLING is another to consider for the shortlist.

She went very close at York 9 days ago in a big effort. Domino Darling was edged by a nose in a Listed effort there. The further trip gives her more to run at.

FOX TAL can’t be counted out of this either. He did a good job to take third in the Glorious Stakes at Goodwood a month ago.

It’s a long eleven-race winless streak from him, but after that stronger Group 3 effort, this may be in range.
