Today’s Horse Racing Tip

The first of today’s horse racing tips is the 7/4 favourite WISHFULL DREAMING who may be tough to knock over* (betting odds recorded 18:17 GMT on 23rd August 2021 at Ladbrokes).

He continued with some recent good form by landing a score at course and distance 8 days ago.

He dominated the fixture and therefore has some obvious claims.

Wishfull Dreaming will be under a 7lb penalty for Tuesday, but this should still be within his range.

The main challenger is probably going to be HAVANA HERMANO.

He went close at course and distance last time out and being on an unchanged mark from that effort, means he poses a threat.

ORGANDI may be worth considering as the final shortlist selection.

On her reappearance a month ago she was third at Uttoxeter. She looked improved and warrants some interest having had that run under her belt.

CENOTICE is the 11/2 horse racing tip for this competitive handicap chase* (betting odds recorded 18:17 GMT on 23rd August 2021 at Ladbrokes).

After a break of 666 days, he picked up a win on a run at Perth. That was a 3-runner affair, and it should have sharpened him up further.

Cenotice will be stepping up in the trip for this one, which looks like a good move by connections.

He can’t be taken lightly after winning straight out of the gate after 22 months away.

TARDREE is likely to be close in the contest as well. It’s been a good season for him, winning two of four runs since his reappearance

It looks like there is further progress to be made by the 7-year-old.

He was last seen at Market Rasen three weeks ago powering clear to get the score but is 8lb higher.

SHENTRI is the other of interest. David Skelton’s 4-year-old looks as if he could get into the thick of things.

Shentri scored in April at Exeter and there was a return to form a month ago when he found only one too good in a handicap chase at Uttoxeter.

6/1 shot PASS RUSHER is our selection for horse racing betting in this contest* (betting odds recorded 18:17 GMT on 23rd August 2021 at Ladbrokes).

There was a win for him on his latest, delivering the score at course and distance in a big field contest. So that puts him in good stead here.

Given the manner of that success, the extra 4lb that he has been handed looks more than reasonable. We expect Pass Rusher to be heavily involved.

An obvious horse racing betting selection for the shortlist is PILLAR OF STEEL. She has been on top of her game impressively.

Pillar Of Steel completed a hattrick a month ago, getting the score at Worcester to achieve that.

That was in a race that didn’t go in her favour too. She comes up 3lb which is manageable.

EASKEY LAD is very interesting back at this 2m trip. It’s a distance at which he won a couple of handicaps last year.

Easkey Lad just missed out on a hattrick on his latest run, which was over the hurdles at Newton Abbot 37 days ago.

The 6-year-old took second and didn’t put a foot wrong in the contest. He poses a threat in this contest.

EAST ASIA looks to be the way to go as a horse racing tip here at a quote of 11/4* (betting odds recorded 18:17 GMT on 23rd August 2021 at Ladbrokes).

He is down in class and therefore should have a big impact for trainer Ian Williams.

Things didn’t go great for East Asia when he was sent to the Northumberland Vase earlier this season.

But he has shown more encouraging signs from his last two efforts.

This is much calmer waters than what East Asia has been struggling along at and can feature.

BRASCA should also be in the mixer for this. He didn’t get a clear run at Ripon on his latest. But regardless he performed with great credit to take third.

A victory here at Salisbury earlier this year puts him in the frame.

He does come down in class for this one after going fairly close at Thirsk last time out.

It was a close fourth-place finish that Oriental Art banked there.

He notably stays at the same mark as he was for that contest and may not be far away from returning to winning ways.

A serious challenger in the field is likely to be SILVESTRIS who was a runner up for Mark Johnston at Wolverhampton a week ago.

William Buick was in the saddle then and returns to take the ride.

It’s been a while since Silvestris has won and this is the furthest trip that he’s been involved in.

GOLD ARCH will likely be happy coming up on the trip.

That looks like a fair move by connections. He’s not always the most settled but can feature.

FARHH TO SHY looks a good one and has to feature as our 11/4 handicap pick* (betting odds recorded 18:17 GMT on 23rd August 2021 at Ladbrokes).

She has been on the up and despite not getting the win on the board last time out she did go close.

Carrying a 7lb penalty Farrh To Shy was a close second here 19 days ago.

There has been nothing but positives from Farhh To Shy this season and coming into handicapping, she looks ready to strike.

DASHING DICK has been producing good consistent stuff.

He scored over course and distance back in July and took a place finish back at C&D just two weeks ago.

He has now only been outside of the top three once in his last six runs and should be there with a 3lb claimer on board.

Another consistent sort is ASMUND who is still looking to end a long winless streak that stands at 13 races now.

There was another good run in defeat for him last time out when he took second place at Ayr in a handicap effort.
