Spurs to finish ICC on a high note

Tottenham v Milan Betting Tips – International Champions Cup, 31 July 1.35pm

Spurs step out into their third and final game at the International Champions Cup, having beaten Roma and then having battled back from 2-0 down at halftime against Barcelona to earn a draw. So there has been positive attacking stuff from the Lilywhites so far which boss Mauricio Pochettino can be happy about. Milan suffered a penalty shootout defeat against Manchester United in their opening ICC affair.

Tottenham News and Form

Tottenham banked a 4-1 win over Roma in their opening International Champions Cup fixture. Fernando Llorente and Lucas Moura both getting a brace in the game. Spurs then found themselves down 2-0 at halftime against Barcelona but fought back well in the second half to get a 2-2 draw even though they went on to lose the following penalty shootout. But they have been showing well going forward and we will back this one to go over 2.5 goals as well at 3/4 odds* (Betting Odds were taken from July 29th, 2018 at 11:43 p.m.).

As with all of the clubs taking part in this pre-season friendly stuff, Spurs don’t have their full squad with them but they have looked pretty sharp nonetheless. They do have some star power with them in Christian Eriksen and Son Heung-min. Spurs have still remained quiet in the transfer market of the summer, but Georges-Kevin N’Koudou who they did pick up in the summer got their first one against Barca. Spurs will head back to Europe after this one.

Milan News and Form

Milan were involved in a 1-1 draw with Manchester United in their opening fixture in the ICC and then they went on to lose the penalty shootout 8-9 against the Red Devils. It wasn’t the greatest of games as you could imagine and there wasn’t a great deal offered up by Milan. That was their second pre-season friendly after beating Novara 2-0. Following this, they will round off their ICC action against Barcelona. Milan don’t start their domestic season until much later in the month of August compared to the early start that Spurs get in the EPL and so the Italians are naturally resting a lot of their first team players. So you can’t expect too much high-level stuff from them. Still, we are actually going to go with both teams not to score at 6/5 odds* (Betting Odds were taken from July 29th, 2018 at 11:43 p.m.) as a punt but overall they are not likely to be quite as sharp on the day as Spurs are going to be.

Tottenham v Milan Head to Head

Spurs and Milan have met four times competitively before and it is Tottenham who hold a positive W2 D2 record from those four meetings. The last time they were were together was back in the 2011 Champions League. They met in a 2015 friendly at the Audi Cup which Spurs won 2-0.

Tottenham v Milan Predictions

Tottenham to win: Even though they are missing key players, Tottenham have done alright going forward at the ICC and we are backing them to round off their action with a win. They have certainly shown more in an attacking sense than Milan did in their dull encounter with Manchester United. Spurs to win.
