The Hornets were helped out as fellow promotion-chasing sides Norwich failed to beat Rotherham and Middlesbrough slipped to a 4-3 defeat against Fulham.

Watford are now four points clear at the top of the Championship and can only be caught by Bournemouth, who play on Monday evening. The Cherries are 1/20 to join Watford in the assumption promotion to England’s top flight.
