Blackburn Rovers Preview – Will Tomasson’s side return to winning ways in the league?
Blackburn Rovers were quick out of the blocks under new boss Jon Dahl Tomasson, winning their opening three to fire their way to the front. The Blue and Whites beat Queens Park Rangers, Swansea City and West Bromwich Albion.
However, they have crashed to back-to-back 3-0 defeats in their last two in the Championship. Rovers were second best against Reading before being easily swept aside by Sheffield United. However, Blackburn did bounce back with a 2-1 win at Bradford City in the second round of the EFL Cup in midweek.
The Lancashire side could be one of the most unpredictable teams in the Championship this season. They are capable of winning this one, but Stoke will be formidable opponents at Ewood Park.

After a poor start to the season, Michael O’Neill was sacked on Thursday after almost three years as Stoke City boss. In truth, the Potters massively underachieved under the former Northern Ireland manager.
Stoke have taken just four points from a possible 15 this term. Last weekend’s 1-0 home loss to Sunderland proved to be the final nail in the coffin for O’Neill. City have already lost to the Black Cats, Millwall, Morecambe and Huddersfield Town this season.
