Blackpool Preview – Will the Tangerines build on Hull win?
Blackpool have had a topsy-turvy first season back in the Championship after winning the 2020-21 EFL League One play-offs. From the middle of September to late October, Pool won six of eight, but just two wins have followed since.
Since a trio of victories at the end of October, Blackpool have won two, drawn three and lost six of their following 11 league matches. After a run of five losses from six, the Seasiders did manage to start 2022 with a much-needed 1-0 home success over Hull on New Year’s Day.
Blackpool have kept themselves away from the bottom three this season, and they are in the top half of the table at the halfway stage. Can they stay there for the remainder of the campaign?
Millwall Preview – Can the Lions bounce back with a much-needed victory?
Like Blackpool, Millwall have also had a mixed bag of results this season. They were tough to beat in the early months, but the London side head to Lancashire having lost five of their last seven in all competitions.
In 2022, the Lions have suffered successive defeats to Bristol City, Crystal Palace and Nottingham Forest. They have also struggled away from The Den over the past few months, winning only one of their last six away league matches.
