Blackpool Preview – Will the Seasiders strike back after back-to-back defeats?
Michael Appleton returned to Blackpool in June, and the 46-year-old got off to winning start. Callum Connolly hit the only goal of the game to give Pool a 1-0 victory over Paul Ince’s Reading at Bloomfield Road on matchday one of the new Championship season.

Russell Martin’s Swansea City have had a tough start to their 2022-23 season. In league game one, they drew 1-1 with newly promoted Rotherham United at the New York Stadium. City were then walloped 3-0 at home by Blackburn Rovers last weekend.
On Tuesday night, Swansea were involved in a four-goal thriller with EFL League One side Oxford United. City were two up after 25 minutes, but two second-half goals brought Oxford level. The third-tier team then won 5-3 on penalties to go through.

It has been a pretty bad week for the Welsh side. However, an away victory this weekend will certainly repair the damage. The Swans head to Lancashire as the 21/10 second favourites.
