Brentford ended a run of three straight defeats in the Championship on the weekend when they won 3-1 away at Preston North End which followed defeats to Birmingham City, Middlesbrough and Burnley.

However, Brentford will fancy their chances of taking all the points at Griffin Park this evening when they take on bottom half team Leeds United although their home record has been very inconsistent so far this season.

A record of  6-2-6  18/20 screams of inconsistency and in addition, The Bees are without a win from their last three on home turf following a 0-0 draw with Brighton and defeats to promotion-chasing Middlesbrough and Burnley. Having said that, Brentford hold a commanding  4-0-0  10/4 record at home against bottom half teams at Griffin Park so they’ll be keen to extend this record here tonight.

Visitors Leeds United also ended a run of five matches without victory in the Championship on Saturday when they beat strugglers Bristol City 1-0 at Elland Road and they’ll be looking to take advantage of a shaky Brentford at Griffin Park tonight to record back-to-back wins.

Leeds have previously suffered back-to-back defeats away at Ipswich Town and Sheffield Wednesday amidst an overall away record of  4-6-4  16/17 as the Yorkshire outfit have also struggled for consistency on their travels.

Interestingly, their away performances against top half opposition has seen both teams score in four of these five encounters in such spots, and tonight’s game against Brentford is another of these situations.
