Visitors Derby County made a good start to their new Championship campaign with early back-to-back wins over Preston North End and Bolton Wanderers, but have since fallen away in the subsequent matches with just one win from their last five, which was a 5-0 thumping of Hull City at Pride Park.
But recent heavy defeats at Sheffield United 3-1 and a 4-1 loss at Bristol City perhaps show a vulnerable side to The Rams on the road, and just one win from their last eight on their travels suggests that this may well be the case.
The shift in momentum certainly appears to be with Cardiff City ahead of this clash, and Derby manager Gary Rowett has a tough job with his side getting something in Wales today I fancy.
