The Italian Serie A continues on Sunday evening as we take a look ahead of Fiorentina taking on Lazio as the betting tips continue at the Stadio Artemio Franchi with the hosts looking to reduce the gap on their visitors to make a claim for a European spot.

Fiorentina sit in the mid-table position of 10th place but with five points separating the hosts from their visitors, Lazio, ahead of this important clash, Fiorentina know that all three points here would lift them up inot the top half of the division and also move them within striking distance of the European places for next season.
Recent form has been promising despite last weekend’s 3-1 defeat away at Atalanta as Fiorentina had previously put together a seven match sequence without defeat, a run that included wins against Chievo and SPAL in 4-3 and 4-1 wins respectively, and both away from home.
On home turf, Fiorentina have lost just one of their last five matches at their Stadio Artemio Franchi which was a 1-0 loss to Parma, but with a 3-1 win over Empoli and picking up points courtesy of three draws on the trot with Sampdoria, Napoli and Inter Milan, the hosts will be confident they can get a result at home this Sunday evening.
Midfielders Benassi (7 goals) and Veretout (5 goals) along with forward trio Simeone, Chiesa and Muriel (5 goals apiece), should ensure the hosts are in with a shout in this encounter.

Lazio come into this clash having won three of their last four matches overall in Serie A with recent wins grabbed against Frosinone, Empoli and Roma, the latter being a 3-0 win at home. Indeed, form at their Stadio Olimpico hasn’t been the problem for the majority of this season as Lazio have lost just three of their 13 home matches to date, but results away from home have been far from convincing this term.
Wins on the road have been sporadic for the visitors as their results have been checkered, alternating between success and failure on their travels with recent wins recorded at Parma, Bologna and Frosinone – all three of these wins being at bottom half opposition with the latter two occupying bottom three positions.
On the flip side, defeats at Atalanta, Napoli and Genoa prove the visitors possess a vulnerable side on the road, and Fiorentina will no doubt be keen to exploit any weakness that Lazio show here this evening.
An away record of 5-2-5 13/13 underlines Lazio’s inconsistent streak away from home and they could well struggle to get anything against a reasonably tight Fiorentina outfit.
