Midweek action continues in the Italian Serie A on Wednesday night with some important matches involving the top teams in the division, starting with Serie A league leaders Napoli when they travel to struggling Genoa at the Stadio Comunale Luigi Ferraris in Genova.
Genoa grabbed what could be a very valuable point in a 0-0 stalemate away at AC Milan on Sunday, giving them four points from their recent back-to-back away matches, having previously registered a vital 3-2 win away at Cagliari.

Napoli proudly sit top of the Italian Serie A with a two point lead over second placed Inter Milan who play on Tuesday night, but the league leaders will be confident of retaining their position at the top of the table having won eight of their first nine league matches.
Napoli have drawn the other match, and the two points dropped were actually at home, whereas on the road, the visitors hold a commanding record of 5-0-0 14/4 having swept aside Hellas Verona 3-1, Bologna 3-0, Lazio 4-1, SPAL 3-2 and Roma 1-0.
As you can see, Napoli are more than capable of scoring goals both home and away, and with the likes of attacking trio Mertens (7 goals), Callejon (4 goals) and Insigne (3 goals) up front, they could cause further problems for a nervous looking Genoa defensive unit on Wednesday night.
