Odds: 13/8 odds taken 2000 GMT, Tuesday 29 March
It’s a straight run of domestic action between now and the end of the season. Promotion-chasing Huddersfield travel to Hull who, although towards the bottom, do look unlikely to be pulled properly into the relegation zone.

Hull City – Can Hull end a run of six straight defeats at home?
Despite sitting in 20th spot and only two places above the relegation zone with eight games to go, Hull are not in immediate danger. The Tigers are 13 points clear of third bottom Barnsley and despite having played a game more than them, it is a significant cushion at this stage. The Tigers would be in an even stronger position if they would be able to win at home – Hull have lost their last five at the MKM Stadium with their last victory all the way back in January, beating Swansea 2-0.
Somewhat ironically, that was Shota Averladze’s first game in charge after taking over and it remains his only home win to date.
Huddersfield Preview – Are Huddersfield set to put pressure on promotion rivals with a third away win in five?
There was many teams predicted to challenge for promotion this season but Huddersfield were quite far down that list. They barely survived a relegation battle last season but now find themselves at the other end of the division attempting to return to the Premier League after three years away.
A lot of credit has to go to Carlos Coberan who has stuck to his principals and it appears to be paying dividends now. They are currently fourth in the table but have a six point gap to make up on second place Bournemouth if they are to achieve automatic promotion. A situation not helped by losing 3-0 at home to that rival before the international break.

Perhaps a more realistic ambition for Huddersfield is securing their place in the top six and taking a chance via the playoffs – a route that was so kind to them back in 2017. They are currently four points better off than seventh place Middlesbrough who also have the advantage of playing two fewer games.
Huddersfield were unbeaten in nine away games before a recent loss to Millwall. In that run they won five and it is that level of performance they need to get back to.
Hull City vs Huddersfield Betting Advice
It is most definitely the business end of the season now. Hull will feel they could be doing with a couple more wins to be absolutely sure of their place in the Championship for next season. Huddersfield hope they will be playing in the top-flight, however, and considering how competitive the race for the playoffs is, this is a game they need to be winning.
The visitors are also looking to do the double over their opponents having won the reverse fixture 2-0 in October.
Key Facts – Hull City vs Huddersfield Betting Tip
- Hull’s last home win was on the 29th of January, they’ve lost five since scoring one goal in the process
- Huddersfield sit fourth in the table but are six points behind Bournemouth who are second and have games in hand
- It was a comfortable 2-0 win for Huddersfield when the sides met back in October
It is hard to get away from how poor Hull have been at home. Not only the defeats, but also the lack of goals. Huddersfield are capable on their day and can take an important three points here.
