Serie A Betting at Marathonbet

Juventus Prediction

It’s been a stellar campaign by Juventus so far this season on the domestic scene as they still remain unbeaten in Serie A and lead the rest of the field by at least six points ahead of second placed Napoli, but they’ll no doubt be pressing to make it a nine-point margin by the end of this evening’s proceedings.

Juventus have been in supreme form as they’ve won nine of their last ten matches in the Italian top flight, while also racking up an impressive record on home turf with an excellent record of 9-1-0 19/5 which includes winning their last five at home on the trot.

Wins against Cagliari, SPAL, Inter Milan, Roma and Sampdoria were as expected, as too will be a win over bottom club Chievo this evening. That said, Juventus haven’t beaten any side at home this season by more than a 2-goal margin, despite possessing the attacking quality of players like forwards Ronaldo (14 goals) and Mandzukic (8 goals) up front.

Key-Facts – Juventus v Chievo

  • Juventus have won 9 of their last 10 matches in Serie A
  • Juventus haven’t beaten any side by more than 2 goals at home this season
  • Chievo have lost just once in their last 8 matches in Serie A

Chievo Prediction

Although Chievo sit rock bottom of the Italian top flight with just 8 points to their name, they come into this daunting trip to face the Serie A leaders, Juventus, having registered a much needed three points with a 1-0 home win over Frosinone.

Following an abysmal start to their campaign which saw Chievo without a win from their first 11 matches of the season which included no fewer than nine defeats, they’ve since tightened things up considerably as they suffered just one defeat from their subsequent eight league matches which was a 2-0 defeat away at Sampdoria.

Chievo have picked up valuable points along the way during this stubborn eight-match stretch with draws against Bologna, Napoli, Lazio, Parma, SPAL and Inter Milan – as well as the aforementioned home win over Frosinone.

Chievo’s away record reads 0-4-5 6/18 and although they’re still without an away win this term, their defensive record isn’t the worst on their travels, keeping two clean sheets in the process. Sure, the visitors have lost 5 of their 9 away matches but they’ve been handed a heavy defeat on the road just once so far this season which was an early 6-1 defeat at Fiorentina.

Betting Tips Verdict

Juventus will probably grab the points here but I believe there’s a definite case for Chievo to avoid a heavy defeat.
