The late kick-off in the Championship on Saturday sees a top seven clash between new league leaders, Leeds United and 7th placed Nottingham Forest as the betting tips continue at Elland Road.
Leeds United recorded a valuable 2-0 home win over beleaguered Ipswich Town during the week to reclaim top spot in the Championship in what was a very welcome three points for Marcelo Bielsa’s side following a recent 2-1 defeat away at Blackburn Rovers.
The hosts have lost at Elland Road just once so far this season which was a 2-1 defeat to a rejuvenated Birmingham City under former Leeds manager, Garry Monk, but recent wins over Preston North End and Ipswich Town have kept Leeds on top.
Although Leeds have kept four clean sheets to date on home turf, they’ll be up against an in-form and confident Nottingham Forest outfit on Saturday evening.
Onto Nottingham Forest then, and the visitors also come into this important clash on the back of a midweek win when they registered a convincing 3-0 win away at bottom half outfit, Bolton Wanderers.
Aitor Karanka’s side have for the most part flown under the radar a little in the Championship so far this season as they’ve lost just twice in this campaign amidst a flurry of draws which has held them back from sitting in the top six.
However, Forest are just two points adrift of 6th placed Norwich City and the visitors have lost just once on the road amidst an overall away record that reads a draw-laden 2-4-1 11/7 but they’re unbeaten in their last four away matches.
Forest have recently recorded back-to-back away wins at Middlesbrough and Bolton, so they’ll fancy their chances of getting something against Leeds this evening.
