Luton Town Preview – Can Luton Town maintain revival?
Luton Town are still fighting their battle against relegation under manager Nathan Jones’s second stint at the club and they gave themselves a fighting chance of survival with what could prove to be a massive 2-0 win away from home at Huddersfield Town on the weekend.
The Hatters have suffered just one defeat since the resumption of the Championship season under Jones which was a slightly surprising 5-0 thrashing at the hands of Reading but wins against Swansea City and Huddersfield Town along with picking up points in draws with Wigan, Preston NE, Leeds United and Barnsley have helped Tuesday night’s hosts stay in touch with the teams above them.
Luton have also made significant improvements on home turf at Kenilworth Road too as The Hatters have suffered just two defeats out of their last eight matches within an improved home record of 7-6-8 29/34.
QPR Preview – Can QPR lift the gloom?
It’s been yet another mediocre season for QPR in the Championship as the visitors currently reside in the bottom half of the second tier in a disappointing 16th place and to make matters worse, The R’s have also lost five of their last six matches overall.
Recent defeats to Barnsley, Charlton Athletic, Fulham, Wigan Athletic and Sheffield Wednesday perhaps indicate that Mark Warburton’s side have clocked off for the rest of the season and thinking about their summer break, and they’ll be facing a Luton Town side who are fighting for their Championship lives.
It remains to be seen if QPR can lift their game and their desire for the points here, but having won just twice in their last 11 matches on their travels within a disappointing away record of 7-3-11 22/31, the visitors would do well to get a point here I fancy.
