Norwich City Preview – Leaders to add another three points to their tally?
After making a sluggish start to their season, Norwich City have quickly put things right, winning seven and drawing two of their last nine. Since back-to-back defeats to Bournemouth and Derby County, the Canaries have seen off the likes of Rotherham United, Birmingham City, Wycombe Wanderers, Bristol City, Swansea City, Middlesbrough and Stoke City.
In midweek, Norwich were involved in a five-goal thriller with Stoke City at the bet365 Stadium. Farke’s boys raced into a 3-0 lead, but Emiliano Buendia’s red card almost swung the game. However, despite Stoke scoring twice late on, City held on for a superb 3-2 away win.
Norwich are sitting pretty at the top of the Championship table, collecting an impressive 27 points from a possible 39. Will the Norfolk side add another three points to their tally at the weekend?
Coventry City Preview – Tough test at Carrow Road for the Sky Blues
Since winning promotion from EFL League One, Mark Robins’ Coventry City have found it tough going in the second tier. So far, the Sky Blues have won three, drawn three and lost seven, taking 12 points from 13 matches.
Coventry secured their third win of the season on Wednesday night, beating Neil Harris’ Cardiff City at St Andrew’s Trillion Trophy Stadium. It was a scrappy match in Birmingham, with Tyler Walker capitalising on a Cardiff mistake to score the only goal of the game in the 54th minute.

Coventry’s three wins have all been by a one-goal margin this season, seeing off Queens Park Rangers and Reading both by a 3-2 scoreline. Unfortunately for Robins’ men, sealing all three points in Norfolk this Saturday will surely be a step too far.
Norwich City vs Coventry City Betting Advice
Back in August 2016 when these two clubs last met, Norwich walloped Coventry 6-1 in an EFL Cup game, with Kyle Lafferty, Jacob Murphy and Ben Godfrey among the scorers. The last league meeting ended in a 2-2 draw at Carrow Road way back in May 2011.
Key Facts – Norwich City vs Coventry City Betting Tip
- Norwich are unbeaten in nine, winning seven and drawing two
- Coventry’s win over Cardiff in midweek was only their third league success of the season
- This will be the first league meeting between these two sides in over nine years
Coventry will be buoyed after their vital victory over Cardiff, but in-form Norwich will surely be too strong for the Sky Blues at Carrow Road this Saturday.
The majority of Norwich’s wins have been by a one-goal margin, but we fancy the hosts to win -1 here at 7/5. There is also good value in Unibet’s 11/8 for Farke’s troops to be winning at half time and full time.
