Preston North End will be in confident mood as they prepare for the visit of Millwall as the betting tips continue in Saturday afternoon’s Championship fixtures.

Preston North End

Following a heavy 3-0 loss away at Birmingham City the week beforehand, Preston bounced back in impressive style by taking all three points in a 1-0 win at Nottingham Forest at the City Ground, and they’ll no doubt be looking to build upon that away win when they return to their Deepdale ground on Saturday afternoon.

Preston have lost just once in their last 11 matches overall in the Championship as they’ve become a hard unit to break down under manager Alex Neil who seems to have really turned things around after a sticky start to the new campaign.

The hosts started with a 1-0 home win over QPR but then went nine league matches without another win, with their lowest point being a sequence of four defeats on the trot which included defeats to Reading, Leeds United, Sheffield United and West Brom – with Preston conceding 3 goals in each of those losses.

Since then, Preston have gained momentum and with a home record of 4-4-2 23/16 and a five match run without defeat, they look in good shape here.

Millwall

Millwall, meanwhile, sit just one place above the relegation zone and one point ahead of third from bottom club Reading as they prepare for this tricky trip up to Lancashire to face a solid Preston North End outfit.

The Lions have drawn three of their last four as they’ve simply been unable to haul themselves away from the lower reaches of the division, and Neil Harris’s side have now gone six matches without a win ahead of this weekend’s action.

Recent defeats to London rivals Brentford as well as Norwich City and Birmingham City haven’t helped matters either, nor their poor away record which stands at 0-3-7 8/19 with only Brentford and Rotherham United also winless on their travels this season.

Indeed, Millwall have now gone 12 away matches without a win, a run that includes 8 defeats.

Preston North End v Millwall – Betting Tips Verdict

I just can’t see Millwall winning this one, while their best chances appear to be perhaps a point. Use the handicap on Preston here.
