Preston North End Preview – Another defeat for Neil’s boys?

Alex Neil’s Preston North End languish in 14th spot after collecting 43 points from 34 games. The Lilywhites have picked up 13 wins, suffered 17 defeats and drawn just four times. Only Wycombe Wanderers and Rotherham United have lost more matches thus far.

After just three wins from 12 Championship fixtures, Preston have dropped 12 points behind sixth place. They made a promising start to their season, but the Lancashire side have suffered too many defeats, which has realistically put paid to their play-off chances.

Our betting prediction:
Both teams to score
4/5

Preston have been poor lately, but they pick up an impressive 3-0 win over Huddersfield Town in their last home fixture, with Brad Potts, Ched Evans and Scott Sinclair getting the goals. However, they followed that up with a 2-1 defeat at Millwall in midweek. Can Preston avoid an 18th league loss of their season on Saturday?

Bournemouth Preview – Third win on the spin for the Cherries?

After a defeat to Cardiff City on 24th February, Bournemouth slipped out of the top six. However, they have battled back superbly well since then, picking up back-to-back wins over Watford and Bristol City to fire themselves back into the play-off places.

Bournemouth showed plenty of fighting spirit to come from behind to beat Bristol City at Ashton Gate last Wednesday. Junior Stanislas levelled on the stroke of half time, with Cameron Carter-Vickers grabbing the winner two minutes from time.

Victory at Ashton Gate in midweek was the Cherries’ first Championship win on the road since a 1-0 triumph at Stoke City on 2nd January. Can Bournemouth make it back-to-back away wins at the weekend?
