Queens Park Rangers Preview – Will the Hoops strike back from Stoke loss?

Mark Warburton’s Queens Park Rangers have had a fine season so far. The Hoops finished last term in strong style and kicked on in the same vein at the start of this campaign. Rangers are sitting pretty in fifth place with 35 points to their name after 21 games played.

QPR suffered a disappointing 2-0 home reverse to Stoke City in their last match at the start of the month, but the Hoops picked up four wins and two draws from their previous six Championship affairs. They have been excellent on their own patch, with the defeat to the Potters being only their second home league loss of the season.

Our betting prediction:
Both teams to score
4/6

Having not played for a few weeks, QPR will be raring to go in this one. Can they return to action with a big three points at the Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium?

Bournemouth Preview – Can the Cherries finally get back to winning ways?

Scott Parker made a stunning start to life at Bournemouth, guiding the Cherries to 11 wins and four draws from their opening 15 league matches. However, they have gone on to win just one of their following eight.

Since thumping Swansea City 4-0 at the Vitality Stadium in early November, Bournemouth have failed to win any of their following six. They drew three on the spin but have crashed to back-to-back defeats to Blackburn Rovers and Middlesbrough in their last two.

Despite their poor form, they remain just two points behind leaders Fulham, who are also going through a rough spell at present. Parker’s troops will be desperate to get back to winning ways on Monday.

Queens Park Rangers vs Bournemouth Betting Advice

Bournemouth edged an entertaining encounter when the pair locked horns at the Vitality Stadium back in September. First-half goals from Jaidon Anthony and Dominic Solanke did the damage.

When they last met at the Kiyan Prince, it was QPR who picked up a 2-1 win. Shane Long’s effort cancelled out Stefan Johansen’s opener, but Todd Kane had the last laugh.

Key Facts – Queens Park Rangers vs Bournemouth Betting Tip

  • QPR’s loss last time out was their first defeat since October
  • Bournemouth have won just one of eight
  • The Cherries edged the reverse meeting at the Vitality

QPR will be chomping at the bit to get back to action and respond from the Stoke defeat. Bournemouth are in poor form, but Parker has a Premier League squad of players that will get things right eventually. This is too close to call, so our money is going on the stalemate. The draw and both teams to score is priced at 10/3.

Dominic Solanke has been Bournemouth’s main man this season, helping himself to 16 Championship goals – only Aleksandar Mitrovic and Ben Brereton have netted more in the second tier. Back Solanke to score first here at 5/1.
