Queens Park Rangers Preview – QPR to get back to winning ways?

On the whole, Queens Park Rangers have had a good season, spending most of the campaign in and around the top six. QPR are in sixth position at present, collecting 59 points from 37 games. They have won 17, drew eight and lost 12.

The Hoops have had a wobble in recent weeks, though, taking just three points from their last four games. After an excellent win at Luton Town last Sunday, the Rs were beaten at Nottingham Forest in midweek.

Our betting prediction:
QPR to win -1
6/4

QPR will be desperate to get back to winning ways this weekend. As you would expect, the Londoners are the odds-on favourites to take maximum points from this one, with the bookies offering just 4/7 for a home win.

Peterborough United Preview – Can Posh cause a huge upset in the capital?

Peterborough United booked their place back in the second tier of English football after finishing runners-up to Hull City in EFL League One last term. Staying up was always the priority, but Posh are rock bottom and seven points away from safety.

Peterborough have struggled for wins all season, claiming just five. They have lost 24 of their 37 matches, which is the most in the league. United have failed to win any of their past 15 Championship matches, drawing four and losing 11.

Peterborough are desperate for points, but this is likely to be another tough away day for Grant McCann’s men. The away win is priced at 19/4.

Queens Park Rangers vs Peterborough United Betting Advice

Peterborough have picked up just one Championship win since beating QPR in the reverse fixture way back in October. After going a goal down five minutes after half time, Posh turned the game on its head to secure a 2-1 victory, with Siriki Dembele netting in injury time.

United also beat QPR in the fourth round of the FA Cup back in February, as goals from Joe Ward and Ricky-Jade Jones was enough for a 2-0 success at the Weston Homes Stadium.

Rangers have not beaten Posh in the league since New Year’s Day in 2003 – Clarke Carlisle and Richard Langley were on target in a 2-0 triumph at London Road.

Key Facts – Queens Park Rangers vs Peterborough United Betting Tip

  • QPR have lost three of their last four
  • Posh are winless in 15 league games (four draws, 11 defeats)
  • United came from behind to beat Rangers in the reverse fixture

Warburton’s Rs have been in poor form of late, but the play-off chasers should see off struggling Posh on Sunday. Take a punt on the home side to be winning at half time and full time at 7/5.

Andre Gray is in fine fettle, scoring three in his last three for the Hoops. Back the 30-year-old to net first here at 9/2.
