Roma Prediction – Can Roma continue momentum?

Sunday evening’s hosts, Roma, are currently enjoying a purple patch of form as the home side have won 4 of their last 5 matches overall in Serie A and it’s been this excellent momentum which has contributed to their current league position of 4th place in the Italian top flight.

Having recorded wins against Brescia, Hellas Verona, SPAL and Fiorentina in recent weeks, Roma occupy the last Champions League spot and hold a useful and important 4-point cushion above 5th placed Atalanta prior to this weekend’s action.

Roma will therefore be looking to extend this unbeaten run at home against Torino and in turn further improve their home record which stands at 5-2-1 18/11 which includes winning their last 4 home matches on the trot.

Impressive wins against AC Milan, Napoli, Brescia and SPAL will give the hosts plenty of confidence in picking up another valuable three points here as Roma look to further consolidate their top four status.

Torino Prediction – Can Torino gain consistency?

The visitors have produced a mixed bag of results in recent times as they occupy an understandable mid-table position in the Italian top flight following recent wins against Genoa and Fiorentina which have been tempered with defeats to Inter Milan and SPAL – the latter being a disappointing 2-1 loss at home to the second from bottom outfit.

Inconsistency has been the key word where Torino have been concerned so far in this season’s Serie A campaign as the visitors have been unable to string together any sort of meaningful run of results, and this has been reflected in their away record of 3-1-4 13/14 so far this term.

That said, Torino do bring a 3-match unbeaten run away from home into this clash against Roma with wins at Brescia and Genoa, and the visitors will be hoping they can spring a surprise on Sunday.

However, this may be easier said than done as Roma have won the last three encounters on the trot against Torino, so the hosts will be hard to shift here I fancy.
