Sunday brings us further action from the Italian top flight with Sassuolo taking on Bologna as the betting tips continue in Serie A.
Sassuolo come into this clash without a league win from their last three matches as they’d fallen to understandable back-to-back defeats to AC Milan and Napoli, but they did manage to claw back a point away at Sampdoria in a 0-0 draw last time out.
But the hosts have a golden opportunity to return to winning ways at their MAPEI Stadium – Città del Tricolore as Sassuolo possess a decent looking record of 3-0-1 10/8 which includes wins over Inter Milan, Genoa and Empoli.
Midfielder Kevin Prince Boateng (3 goals) along with forwards Berardi and Babacar (2 goals apiece) are the ones to watch for the home side.
Visitors Bologna have posted mixed results in Serie A the past few weeks as they’ve recorded wins against Roma and Udinese at their Stadio Renato Dall’Ara but have also lost away at Juventus and Cagliari, and although they’ve recorded both wins at home so far, it’s been their results away from home that have done the damage.
An away record of 0-1-3 0/5 underlines the problems they’ve had on their travels to date as they’ve also suffered defeat at Genoa which means they’ve lost their last three on the trot on the road following a 0-0 draw at Frosinone.
More significantly, Bologna have failed to score in each of their four away matches to date this term and it’s now 14 matches without an away win for the visitors in Serie A.
The bigger picture tells us that Bologna have failed to score in 10 of these last 14 away from home, and my betting tips suggest this should allow Sassuolo to grab all three points here.
