Sunderland Preview – Can Black Cats produce a response?

Sunderland have made a solid start in the Championship upon their return to the second tier, thanks to a 1-1 draw with Coventry City followed with a 3-2 win away from home at Bristol City but you wouldn’t have known judging by their poor performance against Sheffield Wednesday in the midweek League Cup clash, losing 2-0.

Sunderland manager, Alex Neil, will therefore be demanding a response from his players this Saturday as the hosts look to extend their unbeaten run at the Stadium of Light to 11 matches without a loss, and they’ve lost only one of the previous four meetings against QPR.

 

 

QPR Preview – Can R’s bounce back?

It’s been a bit of a mixed start to this new season for QPR as they’ve suffered losses either side of a 3-2 home win against Middlesbrough as the London club lost 1-0 away from home at Blackburn Rovers on the opening day of the season along with a midweek League Cup loss to London rivals, Charlton Athletic.

Just what QPR will come up with next is anyone’s guess but if previous results away from home are anything to go by, then QPR could struggle in the north-east on Saturday as The R’s have managed to collect just two wins from their last 11 outings on the road which includes no fewer than eight defeats.
