Torino Preview – Can Longo get his first victory in charge and bring some relief to Torino?
The three consecutive wins that Torino started the season with will seem a long time ago now. Walter Mazzarri was sacked due to how much the club have struggled since then and replaced by Moreno Longo. Torino find themselves in the bottom half of the table having won only six game in their last 24 Serie A games. It has them in 15th spot and just three points above the relegation zone.
Torino’s last victory came on the 9th of January meaning Longo is yet to win a match since taking over. That will be a record he and everybody else concerned with the club know needs to change if they are to avoid being pulled into anymore danger.

There is plenty of quality in this Torino squad but they have simply not performed to the levels required often enough this season. Top scorer Andrea Belotti is the star of the team but with nine goals – and none since the 5th of January – he is going to have to look for support from his teammates.
Torino will play each of the top three in their next six games and that gives an indication of how precarious their position is at the moment. It makes games like this all that more crucial.
Udinese Preview – Will Udinese find their first win nine games to pull clear of the bottom three?
Like their opponents on Tuesday, Udinese also sought to replace their coach earlier in the season with Luca Gotti taking charge in November. It’s also been a really frustrating campaign where they have struggled for any consistency and the main reason why they too are just three points above the bottom three.
Udinese will take the field for the first time since the beginning of March on Tuesday having drawn their previous four matches. Whilst that brought and end to their series of defeats it’s unlikely to be good enough long-term and they will require to pick up wins quickly.

Scoring goals has been a big problem for Udinese. They have managed to score more than one goal in just one of their last seven games and only three times in their last 15. No one player has scored more than five in Serie A so far this season.
Udinese’s form away from home has also been pretty poor with only two wins on their travels so far this campaign. Both of those wins have come against Lecce and Genoa, teams who are also in the mix for relegation, and that could give them some confidence they can get a result on Tuesday.
