West Brom bounced from their surprising and ultimately disappointing 3-2 defeat at home to fellow play-off candidates Middlesbrough on the the weekend when they secured a vital three points with a 1-0 win away at floundering Stoke City at the bet365 Stadium.
This was an important win for Darren Moore’s side as they not only took all three points but achieved this at a ground where they’d had a few problems historically, so they’ll now return to The Hawthorns for this important clash with Nottingham Forest in a much more positive frame of mind.
West Brom’s last two wins have both been away from home though with a previous win at Bolton Wanderers, so Moore needs to lift his side at home although The Baggies have lost just once on home soil in their last eight matches in the Championship amidst an overall solid record of 7-5-3 35/21.
This includes recent wins against Leeds United with a 4-1 thumping of the Yorkshire outfit and Wigan Athletic. There have been perhaps too many draws for Moore’s liking though so he’ll be looking to the likes of forwards Gayle (16 goals) and Rodriguez (15 goals) to provide the cutting edge tonight.

Nottingham Forest picked up a third win in four home matches on Saturday afternoon when they saw off Brentford in a nervy 2-1 win at the City Ground to hand manager Martin O’Neill his second win for the Tricky Trees since his appointment in early January.
The win on Saturday lifted Nottingham Forest back up into 9th place in the Championship but most of the east midlands’ club’s success has been at home where they’ve won 8 of their 11 league wins to date this term.
Results away from home have continued to elude Nottingham Forest as they’ve now gone six matches without a win on their travels, along with losing their last three on the trot on the road at Millwall, Reading and Birmingham City – and all to nil I might add.
Forest’s away record stands at a disappointing 3-8-4 22/21 despite showing encouraging signs of improvement earlier in the season, while the goals seem to have dried up on the road too. leading goalscorer Grabban (15 goals) has managed just one goal from his last 10 matches in all competitions, and it’s now five Away matches without a goal for the former Bournemouth striker.
