It has been red-hot form produced by Alan King’s Edwardstone having completed a four-timer on his latest run.
With form behind him, he should be a big player in the Arkle.
There was a Grade 1 success for him at Sandown in December and he has since added a couple of Grade 2 victories on top.
Edwardstone sets the standard in this contest.
He will need to be at his best because this is a high-quality renewal of the Arkle Chase.

RIVIERE D’ETEL poses a big threat in the field despite not having won the last twice.
Those were both Grade 1 efforts at Leopardstown.

He does look as if he needs a little more, but trainer Willie Mullins will no doubt have him finely tuned for this one.
HAUT EN COULEURS looks like a superb prospect who could have a say in this.
There was a debut chase win for him at Leopardstown win in December. He was back for a follow up at the same venue a month ago but fell.
Still, Haut En Couleurs could easily get himself involved.

COEUR SUBLIME can’t be dismissed from this one as he won his last effort. That was on a return to the maiden company at Gowran on his latest run.
On his chasing debut, Coeur Sublime was only beaten by Ferny Hollow, who if an injury hadn’t stopped him from taking part, would have been one of the leading contenders for the Arkle 2022.
With Coeur Sublime having some experience at Grade 1 behind him (third) he warrants respect.

Trainer Henry de Bromhead won the 2020 Arkle with mare Put The Kettle On and he has another good mare lining up in this one.
That is MAGIC DZAE who was third in a Grade 2 at Cork on her latest.
Better jumping is required here, but she is perhaps not without a chance at the places.
