The Mares Chase tips are from the penultimate race of the entire Cheltenham Festival 2022.

This is one of the newer races to have entered the fray at the Festival, so it is still gaining ground.

But it is a Grade 2 contest and as it steps into just its second renewal, so there’s little to go on.

Our betting experts look through the field for this interesting contest, and size up odds and form for The Mrs Paddy Power Mares Chase tips.

FAV in Mrs Paddy Power Mares Chase Racing Odds

ELIMAY was beaten in last year’s inaugural Mares Chase at the Cheltenham Festival, but she should be the pick of the bunch this year.

Elimay was defeated by her classy stablemate Colreevy last year. For this year’s run at the race, the Willie Mullins-trained 8-year-old has been coming to a boil nicely.

She collected a win in a mares’ Listed race last month. She brings big claims to the table on Friday.

ZAMBELLA
10/1

The big threat to the favourite is probably going to be MOUNT IDA who won last year’s Kim Muir from absolutely nowhere.

She does tend to jump right, which should be a disadvantage at Cheltenham.

Given that this is a strong contest with not only Elimay in it but Concertista as well, she won’t get away with any waywardness back at the Festival this year.

There have been two wins from two this season by her at Clonmel and Fairyhouse.

In the latter, she did get the better of Elimay, and despite her pulling right tendencies, won’t likely be far away.

Mount Ida is a 2/1 option* (odds recorded at 16:12 GMT on March 17th, 2022 at Paddy Power).

CONCERTISTA can’t be taken lightly in this fixture as she is starting to build a nice profile for herself over the fences.

She won the Dawn Run a couple of years ago and was only very narrowly touched off in last year’s mares’ hurdle.

It’s been two wins in two Grade 2 mares’ novice chases this season.

Concertista is at 3/1 and warrants big respect in Mares Chase tips* (odds recorded at 16:12 GMT on March 17th, 2022 at Paddy Power).

The rest of the runners

SCARLET AND DOVE could have some place claims if she gets a good footing.

She was behind Mount Ida on her first two runs this season. Scarlet And Dove was going well at Gowran last time out before being pulled up.

MAID O’MALLEY has found some nice form and is coming along nicely. She’s a big front-runner, but that’s going to be tough to pull off in this fixture.

Maid O’Malley has won mares’ handicaps at Wetherby and Carlisle in her last two.

PINK LEGEND is a decent chaser and won a Listed contest at this very distance at Huntington earlier this year.

She could not get it all together last month at Uttoxeter however.

VIENNA COURT seems to have found her feet well this season. There was a couple of course and handicap wins by her earlier in the campaign.

He followed Pink Legend home in a Listed run at Huntingdon last time out.

ZAMBELLA has won 3 of her last 4 mares chases and there was a couple at the Listed grade in there as well.

There’s no reason why, on her best form, that she can’t challenge for the places.

Mares Chase Tips & Predictions Cheltenham Festival 2022

This is a competitive renewal of the Liberthine Mares Chase and our first selection is ELIMAY at 2/1* (odds recorded at 16:12 GMT on March 17th, 2022 at Paddy Power).

She looks to have been targeted for this one and has built up her form nicely this season so should be peaking at the right time.

CONCERTISTA should not be far away in this as she is getting better and better in chasing.

She has a pretty decent record at Cheltenham and Concertista is on the shortlist for Mares Chase tips at 3/1* (odds recorded at 16:12 GMT on March 17th, 2022 at Paddy Power).

The final pick is ZAMBELLA. If she repeats anywhere near the kind of form that she has produced the last twice in Listed races, she can make her presence felt from 10/1* (odds recorded at 16:12 GMT on March 17th, 2022 at Paddy Power).
