FAV in Coral Cup Racing Odds

SAINT FELICIEN is the current 13/2 favourite in Coral Cup odds* (odds recorded at 17:57 GMT on March 15th, 2022 at Coral).

He opened the season well with a win at Gowran on what was his first run for a new yard.

He was second at Naas against a good prospect on his follow up.

Saint Felicien may well have more unlocked when he takes on these longer trips.

It’s been a couple of eye-catching runs from him so far.

His latest run was a Grade 3 and has every chance of getting involved in this one as the handicapper may have given him a chance.

Stablemate to Saint Felician, INDIGO BREEZE could come up with a good run as he moves back to this trip.

Like his stablemate, he is unexposed and is not without a chance.

Indigo Breeze is on the up at the moment after opening the season with a score at Gowran in a novice run.

The latest run that Indigo Breeze put out was a conditions race at Fairyhouse in which he finished second.

The extra test of stamina is sure to suit him and he carries a 3lb claimer.

This is a wide open-looking affair and THE SHUNTER could make an impression, even though this season hasn’t gone to plan.

He won the Plate here at the Cheltenham Festival last year, one of five wins that he took over the course of the season.

Connections have been a little cautious with The Shunter this season and he lost his rider last time out.

There could be more to come from him back at Prestbury Park.

CHRISTOPHER WOOD is up 2lb after finding some progressive form the last twice.

It’s been back to back runner-up spots for him and the last of those was on a yard debut. He has shown enough in his form to warrant respect.

As does UNEXPECTED PARTY who has really found his footing over the timbers this season. He’s been rapidly on the up recently.

In January he scored an Ascot handicap and moved up 12lb for that cosy score.

Unexpected Party looks to have big potential and could handle the rise.

Other contenders in Coral Cup betting odds

There are claims all over this field and FASTORSLOW is another of those.

He has not delivered the last twice in 2m Leopardstown handicaps, but the extra distance and having won a chase before in France could see a big run from him.

CALL ME LORD is no forlorn hope for the contest either, even though he hasn’t gotten his nose in front this season.

There was a hint of a return to form last time out with a 6th from a big field on a 3m trip at Sandown in February.

DROP THE ANCHOR was 7th in last year’s Coral Cup so knows what this is all about.

He is 3lb down and warmed up for the Festival return with a fifth-place finish in a big field of 27 at Leopardstown in February.

One more worthy of a mention in Coral Cup betting odds for the Cheltenham Festival 2022 is GANPATHI.

He returns from a long absence after a fall in the Champion Novices’ Hurdle at Punchestown. Ganapathi was going well in that and turns up on Wednesday for Willie Mullins.

MCFABULOUS rattled the crossbar at Cheltenham back in January and coming back down in trip can’t be underestimated.

He needs a little revival after a below-par effort in the Cleeve Hurdle last time out though.

Another one who could easily make the shortlist is ASHDALE BOB who carded a superb runner-up spot at Navan on his latest.

Coral Cup Tips & Predictions Cheltenham Festival 2022

This contest is a tough one to pick through for Coral Cup betting tips, but with the cheekpieces on for the first time, MCFABULOUS gets the nod at 16/1* (odds recorded at 17:57 GMT on March 15th, 2022 at Coral).

He ran superbly in the Relkeel here earlier this year and any kind of repeat performance of that could see him thrive.

Mcfabulous could enjoy the drop in trip and he did score a couple of Grade 2 wins last season so has this in him.

The 13/2 market favourite SAINT FELICIEN does look like a genuine threat* (odds recorded at 17:57 GMT on March 15th, 2022 at Coral).

He is unexposed and his debut win at the Gowran was very impressive. He is one of the big stock from trainer Gordon Elliott in this one.

THE SHUNTER is another for the shortlist at 12/1* (odds recorded at 17:57 GMT on March 15th, 2022 at Coral). Even though results have not gone his way this season, he has been handled very well and could have a big run in him.

UNEXPECTED PARTY from a slightly shorter 11/1 mark is the final shortlisted selection for Coral Cup tips* (odds recorded at 17:57 GMT on March 15th, 2022 at Coral).

He is rapidly heading in the right direction at the moment and despite a big 12lb rise, he could challenge for the places.
