Diego Costa 1/3 to stay at Chelsea amidst reports of being unsettled

Blues striker likely to stay in the capital

Amidst all the rumours of Diego Costa being unhappy at Chelsea, online betting site Ladbrokes have priced up the Spanish international to be making a summer switch back to Atletico Madrid at 3/1. The rumours about Costa wanting away from the Bridge is one of the most surprising transfer stories so far of the early summer.

Ladbrokes have quoted 1/3 that he stays with Chelsea and so the market options are pretty wide apart, which suggests that this is just rumour. Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has of course denied the rumours that his top-goalscorer this season wants to leave the Premier league Champions.

The rumours were started in Spanish publication Marca who said that Costa was “aching” to get back to the Vicente Calderon. The only thing that may add credence to him wanting a move, would be how much flack he has taken this season for his temper, and how clearly has been targeted for some rough treatment in the Premier League. There is also his dodgy hamstring which Chelsea have to try and fix.

Other rumors include him having split with his girlfriend after moving to London and having had difficulties with the language. So is he really unsettled? Chelsea are reportedly looking to launch a huge bid for Atletico striker Antoine Griezmann in the summer, potentially shipping defence Filipe Luis back to the Spain.
