FA Cup Round Four: Best Betting Football Tips

Manchester United vs. Middlesbrough: FA Cup Betting Tip

The FA Cup fourth-round action kicks off on Friday night when Ralf Rangnick’s Man United host Chris Wilder’s Middlesbrough. Boro have been going great guns under Wilder in the Championship lately, but the Red Devils are the odds-on favourites in this one.

Since Rangnick took over at Old Trafford, United have suffered just one defeat in all competitions. In fact, after Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s departure, the Red Devils have won eight of 13. In the previous round of the cup, Man United beat Aston Villa 1-0 at Old Trafford.

Middlesbrough are genuine promotion contenders after an upswing in fortunes under Wilder. Boro have won seven of their last nine in the Championship, seeing off Coventry City in the last one. In the third round of the FA Cup, Middlesbrough won 3-2 at Mansfield Town.

In-form Middlesbrough will play their part in what promises to be an entertaining cup tie in Manchester on Friday, but Man United should prevail on home soil. Back the home victory and both teams to score at 5/2.

Chelsea vs. Plymouth Argyle: Best FA Cup Betting Predictions

Last season’s FA Cup finalists Chelsea welcome EFL league One side Plymouth to Stamford Bridge this Saturday afternoon. Before jetting away for the FIFA Club World Cup, Thomas Tuchel’s troops will be looking for a comfortable home win in the FA Cup.

Chelsea have had a wobble of late, but the Londoners have remained incredibly hard to beat at Stamford Bridge. Only current leaders and Premier League champions Manchester City have won on their patch this season. In their last one, Chelsea beat rivals Tottenham Hotspur 2-0.

Plymouth are battling for promotion in League One this term, and Steven Schumacher’s men picked up a much-needed 3-1 win at Doncaster Rovers in their last league fixture. Argyle won 1-0 at Championship side Birmingham City in the previous round of the FA Cup.

Chelsea have a busy schedule on the horizon, so Tuchel and his team will be hoping to come through this one unscathed. The home side should cruise into round five, and there is good value in 4/11 for the Blues to win to nil.

Kidderminster Harriers vs. West Ham United: FA Cup Betting Odds & Predictions

National League North side Kidderminster entertain Premier League high-flyers West Ham at Aggborough Stadium in a magical FA Cup tie on Saturday afternoon. Kiddy will enjoy the occasion, but the Hammers are the big favourites in Yorkshire.

Kidderminster are batting for promotion from the National League North under Russell Penn this season. This will be a nice break from the rigours of league action, and the tie against the Premier League side will be a money-spinner for the non-league club. The Harriers beat Championship Reading in round three.

West Ham are having another exceptional season under David Moyes. The Irons may have dropped out of the UEFA Champions League places after two defeats in two, but the London side are genuine European contenders once again.

West Ham, who beat Leeds United in round three, should have no problems against the non-league outfit on Saturday. Moyes’ boys are nicely priced at 3/4 to win -1.

West Ham United 7/25

Liverpool vs. Cardiff City: Best FA Cup Betting Tips in Round Four

On Sunday, Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool and Steve Morison’s Cardiff meet at Anfield. As expected, the in-form Reds are the overwhelming favourites in this one, but can the Bluebirds cause a huge upset in Merseyside?

Liverpool have been sensational on their own patch this season, winning 12 and drawing four of 16 league and cup fixtures. They are undefeated on home turf in all competitions since Fulham picked up a shock 1-0 Premier League victory way back in March 2021. The Reds will be looking for another comfortable home win in this one.

Cardiff have had a tough time in the Championship this season, spending most of the campaign hovering just above the relegation zone. However, since taking over from Mick McCarthy, Morison has steading the ship at the Cardiff City Stadium. The Welsh team earned this glamorous tie by beating fellow Championship club Preston North End in the previous round.

Liverpool will be targeting an easy win against the second-tier side, and this should be a walk in the park for the Reds. The home team are priced at 27/25 to win both halves at Anfield.
