There is a new competition over at Betfair that is running which the operator has started in conjunction with the new NFL season. They are running a competition through their Twitter feed which involves their followers taking on their NFL tipsters.
For each week of the season, you will have a chance to pick between the top two players in a given position (either quarterback, running back or wide receiver) to represent you in the Betfair Sunday Night Showdown competition.
The “Top Two” for the sake of this competition, will be simply be based on the projected points according to the NFL Fantasy page.
Whichever player then gets the most votes through Betfair’s Twitter account will be the fan’s choice to go up against the pick made by the Betfair tipsters.
This then is where things get even more interesting because you will then pick which of the players (the one who Twitter users voted for, or the Betfair NFL tipster’s pick) will come out on top in that week’s action.
If you pick out the right player who does come out on top that week, then your prize will be an entry into the Betfair draw for a £25 free bet. There is more incentive as well because each week that the Fans pick wins the duel, then Betfair will add £50 to their Super Bowl Jackpot
Terms and Conditions
This competition is being run by Betfair through Twitter – there will be one winner from Betfair’s Twitter channel every week.
Only players who send out the automated tweet after voting will be eligible for the draw.
To enter on Twitter, vote for who you would think will win in the poll between the two players. The fan Pick or the Betfair pick.
If the fan pick wins, all who voted for it will be entered into the draw for £25. If Betfair wins, all who voted will be entered into a draw for £25. On top of that, if the fan pick wins we will add £50 to the Betfair Super Bowl jackpot.
The winner will be picked at random from all eligible entries.
Entrants must be aged 18 or over.
The winners will be contacted within seven days of the competition closing.
Once contacted, the winner will have 48 hours to respond. If he or she does not do so, a new winner will be drawn.
The competition closes at 5.59pm every Sunday.
Betfair’s decision on the outcome of this promotion is final.
