Sheffield United manager, Chris Wilder, will be taking his side down to the west midlands for this Monday night clash against Aston Villa no doubt looking to avoid a third defeat in all competitions following last weekend’s 2-0 defeat at home to Wolves in the Premier League, which was then followed by a penalty loss away at Burnley in the League Cup.
In contrast to their Monday night’s hosts, Aston Villa, Sheffield United ended last season on a low note as The Blades succumbed to three league defeats on the trot against Leicester City, Everton and Southampton which left the Yorkshire club in a still respectable 9th place, but these losses ended any hopes of securing a European spot.
