The early kick-off in this Saturday’s Premier League action starts with Bournemouth taking on Liverpool as the betting tips continue at the Vitality Stadium.
Vitality is a good word when describing Eddie Howe’s Bournemouth side as they grabbed all three points with a 2-1 home win over struggling Huddersfield Town which halted an alarming four-match losing streak for The Cherries.
Bournemouth had previously slumped to defeats against Manchester United, Newcastle United, Arsenal and Manchester City which was a tough set of fixtures for any club, but Howe’s side showed their resilience by taking their chances against a spirited Huddersfield outfit last time out.
This recent win should instal further belief of getting a result against Liverpool on home turf where they hold a steady home record of 4-2-2 14/10, and they’ll certainly have a go with the likes of King (5 goals) and Callum Wilson (8 goals), the latter tipped to become the ‘next’ Jamie Vardy.
Both teams have scored in 6 of Bournemouth’s 8 home matches to date.
Onto Liverpool, and they secured a second win on the trot following their 2-1 loss away at PSG in the Champions League when they saw off a stout challenge from Burnley at Turf Moor during the week.
An unconvincing display against Everton in the merseyside derby needed a Jordan Pickford howler for The Reds to take the points, but a 3-1 win at Burnley without starting their attacking trio of Firmino, Mane and Salah will be of some comfort to manager Jurgen Klopp.
I say some comfort as Klopp had to call upon the services of the aforementioned trip to make sure of the points but the German manager may need to re-shuffle his pack once again on the south coast here with a vital Champions League tie with Napoli coming up next week.
With this in mind, I’d rather stay away from a Liverpool win but the betting tips see value in backing both teams to score here.
