Football – England – Premier League Betting Tips

There’s only a handful of Premier League fixtures this weekend due to the quarter finals of the FA Cup which involves six top flight clubs, but there’s still important fixtures in the top flight this weekend with the matter of relegation being fiercely contested.

Bournemouth take on bottom club, West Brom, at the Vitality Stadium as the hosts look to end a four match sequence without a win in the Premier League following heavy defeats to Huddersfield Tow and Tottenham, although The Cherries earned points against Newcastle United and Leicester City in 2-2 and 1-1 draws respectively.

At home though, Bournemouth have been a hard nut to crack, and although they lost last time out to Tottenham, the south coast side had previously put together a five match unbeaten streak which included wins over Everton, Arsenal and Stoke City, as well as gaining points against West Ham and Newcastle United. Their home record stands at  5-4-6  21/25.

West Brom sit rock bottom of the Premier League and suffered a sixth straight defeat last weekend when they were on the end of a heavy 4-1 defeat to Leicester City at The Hawthorns, and they now make the difficult trip down to the south coast with confidence among the camp at a record low.

With The Baggies now eight points adrift of safety with just eight matches of the Premier League season remaining, it seems inexplicable that manager, Alan Pardew, still remains in his job at the west midlands club. I’m all for giving managers a chance, but even Southampton, who sit above the bottom three, have recently moved to replace former manager, Pellegrini, with Saints perilously close to the relegation zone.

West Brom’s away record reads a woeful  1-4-10  7/23, with their biggest problem being a lack of goals on their travels; they’ve failed to score in 8 of their 15 away matches to date, and have never scored 2 goals in an away match to date. For the record, Pardew’s record as West Brom manager reads W3 D5 L11 with a 15% win-rate – you do the maths!
