Burnley Prediction – Can Burnley extend unbeaten sequence?

It’s been a much better start to this new Premier League campaign for Burnley following last season’s flirt with the Europa League which almost had dire consequences for The Clarets as Sean Dyche’s men struggled against relegation throughout the majority of last term.

This time around, Burnley have suffered just 2 defeats out of their first 7 matches of this new top flight season which were losses to Arsenal away from home and at home to Liverpool, but the difference this season is that Burnley have collected some vital wins already this term with victories over Southampton 3-0 and Norwich City 2-0.

In addition, Burnley have picked up points in draws with Wolves, Brighton and Aston Villa which were all away from home, so Burnley will be confident they can extend their unbeaten run to 4 matches at Turf Moor this Saturday.

Forwards Barnes (4 goals) and Wood (3 goals) have got amongst the goals early on this season and they could cause Everton some serious problems this afternoon.

Everton Prediction – Can Everton avoid fourth defeat on trot?

If Everton and manager, Marco Silva, had dreams and designs of turning Everton into serious challengers for the top six in the Premier League, then they are poles apart form reality right now as The Toffees occupy a disappointing 15th place on the Premier League ladder and just 2 points above the relegation zone.

Everton’s plight hasn’t been helped by their recent 3-match losing streak which has seen the visitors suffer defeats to Bournemouth, Sheffield United and Manchester City, the latter two losses being on home turf at Goodison Park.

The visitors made a bright enough start to the new campaign though as they earned a point in a 0-0 draw away at Crystal Palace and then followed that up with a 1-0 win over Marco Silva’s former club, Watford, but they’ve since slumped to 4 defeats in their subsequent 5 matches.

The pressure is now starting to increase on the Everton manager, and a poor result at Burnley this Saturday could move Silva a step closer to the exit door, and having failed to win any of their last 6 matches away from home, this could be a real possibility.

Key-Facts – Burnley v Everton

  • Burnley are unbeaten in their last 3 matches in the Premier League
  • Everton have slumped to 4 defeats in their subsequent 5 matches in the EPL
  • Everton are without an away win from their last 6 matches in the EPL

Betting Tips Verdict

Burnley are looking a more solid outfit under Dyche this season without the distractions of European commitments and their confidence should get them across the line against an increasingly tense Everton side.
