After his stunning ATP Masters 1000 title at Indian Wells, Britain’s Cameron Norrie is still hunting down a place at this year’s ATP Finals.

He is through to the second round of action in Paris this week after racing through his opening match.

The Brit goes into Wednesday’s match against Reilly Opelka as the strong odds-on favourite in tennis betting for the win.

Cameron Norrie Preview – Can Norrie put a run together?

Cameron Norrie is not only playing for the ATP Masters Paris title, of course, buy earning enough points to make it to the 2021 ATP Finals are at stake as well.

Norrie has had a tremendous year, with two titles to his name.

He claimed the Los Cabos outdoor title, before claiming the biggest success of his career.

That was with his ATP Masters 1000 Indian Wells crown earned last month.

In the match outright for tennis betting on Wednesday, Norrie is the 4/9 odds-on favourite* (odds recorded 19:16 GMT on November 2nd 2021 at William Hill).

In his first tournament after that Indian Wells success, Norrie visited Vienna at the end of October.

His campaign was ended early there as he was beaten in the second round by Felix Auger-Aliassime over three sets.

There was a comfortable return to winning form by Norrie on Monday in Paris.

He took a 2-0 victory over Federico Delbonis 6-2 6-1.

Norrie has faced Wednesday’s opponent Reilly Opelka twice before on the ATP.

The head to head from those two matches is even at one win each.

Norrie claim the first meeting back in 2016, but then the American turned the tables on him in a meeting last year at Cincinnati.

Four of the last five match wins this season for Norrie have been with him not dropping a set.

A Norrie 2-0 set betting option is at 11/10* (odds recorded 19:16 GMT on November 2nd 2021 at William Hill)

Reilly Opelka Preview – Can Opelka defy the odds?

There was a straight-set victory for Reilly Opelka in his opening match of this year’s ATP Paris Masters.

He got the job done in straight sets as well.

But that has been a rare bit of form recently from him as Poelka has struggled since exiting the US Open.

He got through three rounds of action successfully at Flushing Meadows and hasn’t won back to back matches since that tournament.

The American’s recent form reads W2 L5 in his last seven.

Opelka is the match outright underdog in tennis betting at 7/4* (odds recorded 19:16 GMT on November 2nd 2021 at William Hill).

At the ATP Masters 1000 Indian Wells, the tournament which Norrie won, Opelka was defeated in the third round by Grigor Dimitrov.

The Bulgarian was then in turn, totally dismantled in the semi-finals by Norrie so that tournament does offer perhaps a key piece of form.

Opelka has not gotten his hands on a title this year, carrying a W11 L6 record for the season ahead of Paris.

There has been some really bright moments from the 24-year-old this season however in ATP Masters 1000 events.

He reached the semi-finals of Rome in May where he lost to Rafa Nadal.

Opelka also reached the Final of ATP Masters 1000 Canada on the hard court in August, being defeated by Daniil Medvedev.

So Opelka is no forlorn hope but it’s just his current form can’t match up to that of a very confident Norrie.
