It’s sure to be a very emotional atmosphere at the Cardiff City Stadium when Cardiff City take on Bournemouth as the betting tips continue in Saturday’s evening kick-off in the Premier League. Recent events surrounding Cardiff striker Emiliano Sala has rocked the football world, and Cardiff will be looking for a win here in honour of their new signing who still remains missing.

Cardiff City Prediction

It’s been an extremely tough 10 days or so for the Welsh club whose record new signing Sala from French Ligue 1 side Nantes is still missing after his plane disappeared when travelling over the Channel from France, and hope is fading fast that the striker is still alive.

Football has taken a back seat as far as the footballing world and Cardiff City are concerned, but it’s back to the harsh realities of Premier League football this Saturday as Neil Warnock’s men try and focus on events on the pitch as they look to claw their way out of the bottom three.

However, even all three points here wouldn’t be enough for Cardiff to lift themselves out of the relegation zone but they could potentially reduce the deficit behind fourth from bottom club Burnley to just one point if they get a win here.

The prospect of The Bluebirds taking all three points hangs in the balance though as the Welsh outfit have lost three of their last four matches overall with defeats to Tottenham, Newcastle United and Arsenal, while their home record reads a reasonable looking 4-2-6 13/23.

Cardiff are without a home win from their last three matches on home turf though.

Key-Facts – Cardiff City v Bournemouth

  • Cardiff City are without a home win from their last 3 matches
  • Bournemouth have lost their last 6 away matches on the trot
  • This is Cardiff City’s first home match since the disappearance of Sala

Bournemouth Prediction

Bournemouth are currently enjoying the relative comfort and safety of a mid-table position in the Premier League which is largely thanks to an impressive home record which has seen The Cherries pick up 7 wins from their 10 matches to date at the Vitality Stadium.

The visitors come into this difficult clash in confident mood having recorded back-to-back wins against West Ham and most impressive of all, a midweek 4-0 romp over Chelsea. Both of these wins came at home though, and manager Eddie Howe will be desperate for his side to stop the rot away from home as the south coast club have lost their last six away matches on the trot.

An away record of 3-0-8 12/25 suggests that Bournemouth are also unlikely to win this match, and I daresay Eddie Howe would be delighted with a point here.

Betting Tips Verdict

This will be a difficult fixture for both teams here in what will be an emotionally charged atmosphere, and the draw may be the outcome here as a result.
