CRYSTAL PALACE v TOTTENHAM

Saturday 10th November 2018 – Kickoff: 1730hrs

Football – England – Premier League Betting Tips

The evening kick-off in the Premier League sees a London clash between Crystal Palace and Tottenham as the betting tips continue at Selhurst Park with both teams needing all three points for different reasons.

Taking a look at Crystal Palace first, and last season’s emphatic turnaround in fortunes under manager Roy Hodgson must now seem a distant memory as Palace are now slugging it out in the bottom half of the division, sitting in 14th place but only two points above the relegation zone heading into this crucial encounter.

The hosts are without a win from their last six in the league and have lost four of their last five with defeats to Bournemouth, Wolves, Everton and Chelsea – all of whom (with perhaps the exception of Chelsea), they’d have taken points off of last season.

Wilfred Zaha’s impact now appears to have become lessened as teams have worked out how to nullify his threat while the goals have also dried up at Selhurst Park; Palace have failed to score in 4 of their 5 home matches to date within a disappointing record of  0-2-3  2/7 as the hosts still search for their first home win of the season.

Meanwhile, Tottenham occupy their familiar fourth place position in the Premier League behind Manchester City, Chelsea and Liverpool but they too really need all three points this evening against Crystal Palace to stay in touch with the teams above them.

Spurs trail Chelsea and Liverpool by three points and Manchester City by five heading into this weekend’s top flight action which wasn’t helped by losing 1-0 to City at Wembley recently, but Pochettino’s men bounced back with a 3-2 win away at Wolves last time out.

That win at Wolves became Tottenham’s fifth win in six matches following earlier victories against Brighton, Huddersfield Town, Cardiff City, West Ham and the aforementioned Wolves. Spurs are also building momentum away from home too as they’ve won their last four on the bounce within an impressive away record that stands at  6-0-1  14/6.

Both teams need the points today, but my betting tips advise Tottenham with the likes of Kane (6 goals), a resurgent Lamela (4 goals) and Eriksen in their ranks possess the necessary tools with which to take the spoils here.
