Everton come into this Sunday afternoon’s clash with Watford at Goodison Park in what has become a ‘must win’ match for The Toffees following another abject performance during the week in the Europa League.

All is not good at Goodison Park, and they desperately need Rooney to re-focus his attention after a much-heralded return to merseyside.
By comparison, Watford have made a very successful start to their new Premier League campaign as they sit in ninth place in the top flight, despite suffering recent back-to-back defeats to Chelsea and Stoke City.
The Hornets will be looking to get back on track and where better than against an Everton side who are looking very low on confidence with the natives getting extremely restless on the terraces, and the first goal could be vital here this afternoon. Watford have actually performed better away from home so far this season, so if they can keep the hosts quiet early on, the crowd are almost certain to start getting on Everton’s backs.
Watford hold a steady away record of 3-1-1 10/7 and although they’ll be without striker Troy Deeney who serves a three-match ban, Gray is expected to deputise with Richarlison and Carillo in support.
