Saturday afternoon’s matches of the new Premier League season continue with Huddersfield Town taking on Chelsea with further betting tips brought to you from the John Smith’s Stadium in west Yorkshire.

Huddersfield defied all their critics last season as they secured Premier League survival with a four point cushion ahead of relegated Swansea City, with The Terriers finishing in 16th place in their long-awaited return to the top flight.

It was a major success for Huddersfield and manager, David Wagner as they punched well above their weight and held their own for the majority of the season. They finished with a reasonable  6-5-8  16/25 home record, but will need to improve upon their away record to avoid any late dramas this time around.

The Terriers have made some new signings in the shape of Kongolo, Diakhaby, Sobhi and Bacuna, but perhaps their biggest piece of business during the transfer window was re-signing influential defender, Schindler, to a new three-year deal.

The hosts were the joint lowest goal scorers at home with Burnley (16) in the top flight last term.

By their standards, Chelsea endured a tough and ultimately disappointing season under former manager, Antonio Conte, who had guided The Blues to the Premier League title just the season before.

Amongst increasing player unrest during last season, Conte found himself under pressure to deliver upon the previous season’s success, and having lost 10 matches in the season, the Italian manager parted ways with Chelsea who had to make do with a Europa League place this term.

In comes another Italian at Stamford Bridge this season with Maurizio Sarri at the helm as he looks to re-ignite a talented Chelsea outfit and his brand of attacking football may well be a much needed breath of fresh air for the London outfit.

Sarri wasted no time in poaching one of his players from former club, Napoli, with Joirginho joining The Blues, as well as keeper Rob Green on a free transfer from today’s opponents, Huddersfield Town.

The big news concerning Chelsea though is between the sticks as Courtois left to Real Madrid with Spanish goalkeeper, Kepa, arriving from Athletic Bilbao during the last frantic moments of the transfer window.

Chelsea finished last season with an away record of  10-3-6  32/22, which included a 3-1 win in their last visit to Huddersfield and they’ll be relying on the likes of Hazard, Willian, Morata and Pedro to fire them home this afternoon.
