Inter Milan had a superb season in Serie A, finishing runners-up to Juventus by a single point in the end. In the Round of 32, Bordalas’ troops stunned Dutch champions Ajax, who were Champions League semi-finalists last term. After a 2-0 win at home, a 2-1 defeat in Amsterdam saw them go through with a 3-2 aggregate victory.
